Fuck no, Legos are awesome. If they didn't cost so much I would probably buy a set every time I went near a Wal-Mart. I miss Legos. Might be time to get the ol' tub out of the basement. Besides, there's enough time to be an adult in life. Don't skip the fun stuff just because someone thinks it's kiddy.

Everyone has their toys, everyone does no matter the age. Some people it's video games, lego, models, (art is kind of a toy). Anyone who denies that is crazy. You think texting isn't playing around?

Nah. I am 22, and I sleep with a teddy bear in my bed. Most people keep something with them from childhood. Enjoy your lego. <3 It is awesome after all.
You too?
I still sleep with a stuffed rabbit, and I'm fifteen. I don't need him, but I sleep better knowing he's there.

Funny there's others like me.

OT: Not a problem. I know plenty of adults who would plop down on the floor and spend hours building with Lego given the opportunity.
There is another one in this thread too, quoted me a bit before you. And I don't "need" my plushie either, mostly he just kinda sits in the corner anyway. But thanks to habbits I pull him closer during the night.

Lol she's in Psychology and still using Psychoanalysis? Tell her all the cool adults are getting degrees in Psychiatry.

Also Legos rock, thats coming from a guy who has a degree in Psychology, works in behavioral health at a hospital, and still plays with Legos.

Collecting old Lego can be the same as collecting stamps or a series of Books or Movies. If you want to collect something and it gives you at the same time some nostalgic feeling then whats better than that?
You can tell you psychotic girlfriend that you're getting your fututre kids toys in advance ^^
(Ididn't mean your GF is psychotic but she does major in psychology... oh whatever! don't take that part seriously okey?! ;))

Nothing wrong with that at all, ofcourse you can never avoid the social stigma of playing with toys so you just keep that shit to yourself, just like you don't go around telling people you beat your dick like he owed you money :p

As for the GF, just smile and nod or if you really hate sex argue away.

Oh and tell your missus that psychology is a bullshit career no more worthy of respect
This my friend is wrong!!!
Psychology is by all other sciences out there respected. I don't know what you think about psychology but you're most likely thinking therapy the moment you hear about psychology, which is wrong. Psychology is about studying the human mind and body, actually big parts of psychology is Biology (anatomy) and Chemistry (different ways the human body intercats with itself for example what substances are sent from our brain to our arm to make our right hand wave). Then again Psychology also tries to define why and how we do things and during these last decades psychology has really evolved, and don't come and say that DR. Phil or someone else out there giving holidays to people with problmes are psychologists!!!
You're "dr. Phil argument" in any sane humans mind, now that my friend, is Bullshit.

Legos are cool and help tap into that creative building part of the brain that often gets pushed aside because most work is uninspired and repetitive. Also its unhealthy for a her to try to analyze what you do because proper relationships require a good amount of acceptance and trying to dig up reasoning behind what you do will just cause a lot of conflict and resentment.

The Lego sets when I was a kid had things like age 6-12 but now its all 6+ because they realized that your never too old for Legos.

Oh the woes of people who think they're psychologists, or more accurately, oh the woes of friends and family of that person.
Seriously, LEGO fucking owns. It's easily one of the best building tools around and besides, when she sees that fucking awesome spaceship you've been working on, you won't even care about the worrysome looks she gives you, because you'll be so pleased with yourself that you won't even notice.

No. Adults have toys too, they just usually don't call them toys. Tell me what a speedboat or a super expensive sportscar is if not a toy. Let your GF do her psychoanalysis then ask her why she feel so insecure about your collecting toys. Maybe she just has an issue with not letting herself have toys.

1) tell your girlfriend to stop trying to analyze you. Its unethical and she should know that since she is doing her masters.

2) Lego is fucking awesome. Need proof?

yeah they built that from a design from 100 BCE using lego that predicts the placement of celestial bodies with extreme accuracy, meaning it can tell you when the next eclipse is going to occur.
