is there anything wrong with that?

My GF thinks i have childhood issues (she is doing a masters in psychology so I get analysed a lot lol)
Tell her she has personal issues (insecurities, bad at judging character, therefore trying to compensate with what she learned) for always dragging her study results into her private life, and of course that it's really not that nice to get judged all the time.
(maybe you should say it in a less offensive way, though)

Also, collect what you want to collect, if you have fun with it, and you don't hurt/etc others with it, it's fine.
ALSO: people who still think in "childish"/"adult" terms and their related topics seriously need to grow up : D

Why collect Lego... Play Minecraft.

Also some of the mods for it make it almost completely infinite varriable...

Hobbies or forms of entertainment (TV, video games, etc.) shouldn't be age-oriented. For example a lot of the video games I played as a kid like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc. have gotten no less fun just because I am older. Hell the so-called kid-oriented TV shows and movies my nephew and niece watch are pretty enjoyable to me. There is no reason that you can't enjoy what you liked as a kid just because you are an adult, perhaps in a world where sometimes we take things too seriously or we work too much we need a little cheer in our lives.

i think you should just not give a flying fuck about what other people think of your "hobby." you enjoy it, so enjoy it, and do not let other people's norms of normal get in the way of it...

here's a motto that you should start living by: "do not care about what other people think of you. they hardly think" (though your girlfriend is a though nut, cos shes a psycologist)

What lego stuff are you buying?
OT-Well I let you know in 4 years time (I'm 24 but I sometimes get tempted to buy one or two toys like Transformers). I don't think it's wrong since there are grown men who are still into Lego.
Months ago the Sun newspaper give out free Lego toys everyday for a week cos this guy was trying to get us to play around and let our imgination run wild when combine it togethers. I only get the mini X-Wing and AT-ST since the others were lame (those current Ninja and Eygpt Legos and others).

Yes it is, terribly old people like you should not be allowed to enjoy the little, simple but fun things in life. I hope they will enforce this by law eventually, but until then...

...I hope you have a lot of fun. <3

Personally, I think that that's fine. I still have about 10 crates of Lego in my wardrobe and a model viking fort and boat on my shelf.

Mind, I've never had a girlfriend so that does kind of tell you something about keeping it on display.

I'm 18 doing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science. I watch My Little Pony. I want an arsenal of Nerf guns. I am now wanting to play with Lego. You're not a weirdo freak, you are just having fun.

Psychology will do that; I took two years of it in High School and I had this inflated sense of intelligence for a while and attempted to analyze people...Lego is fun, not immature, and is actually great for bonding. She should get a Masters in Legoing and join you :D Follow your passion of Lego you crazy, crazy man you. I...I think I love you :p

TIP for a Lifetime?

NEVER GROW UP! NEVER BECOME BORING!

Lego was quite fun as well... Building Fairs and stuff...

I still like to visit toystores. (Though the stuff is getting cheaper every year while quality drops...)

Transformers Rule!

Just because Lego is deemed as something childish, doesn't mean that you've got psychological issues if you still play with it at an older age.

I mean, what if people said that building cars was a childish thing, and should never be done by a grown up man? Should we deem those people psychologically ill too?

You know how I plan to retire? At the ripe age of 70 or something, I am going to buy all the drugs... ALL THE DRUGS, and a crate of legos. Then I'll live out the rest of my days that way.

I'm not seeing the problem. I'm relatively younger, but at 14 I'm playing on Neopets every day.

This discussion is making me want to buy LEGO's.

Damn you.

Ask your girlfriend to write a 10'000 word essay for you on why you have childhood issues.
