Is Killzone 3 less polished than KZ2?

I loved KZ2 and played it on an older 42" LCD at a bigger distance.

Now I'm playing KZ3 on a new 32" LCD significantly closer, and it feels less polished (more grainy) visually. Is that just me due to the HDTV change or did someone else notice this??

All Playstation 3 games are disappointing to me. Its the N64 of this generation... better hardware, graphics, but I hope you love muddy visuals at choppy framerates and paper-thin catalog of must-have console exclusives.

Don't whine, I used to own an N64 for three years before I caved and bought a PSX back in the day.

I think it might be the snow graphics. It's probably harder to create the look of a slick environment when you have white everywhere.

Still doesn't explain why the plain urban levels are so grainy

its because the 'real is brown' graphics filter was toned down/taken out completely
