Yes and No
Yes if you play with friends, No if you are the only guy buying it.

50$ is a bit much for 4 main weapons 2 types of grenades and 4 levels and no content updates.
I say 10 bucks too expensive.

However it is one great game.

It's a zombie apocalypse simulator, if you've ever wondered who out of your friends would snap then this is your game.

Well maybe it's not THAT good but you should definitely buy Left 4 Dead, I'm still loving it and I bought it on release, which is rare these days.

@CoolIT:
No content updates?
In 2 weeks we are getting some free DLC - the Survivor Pack, imagine GoW2's horde mode and CoD nazi had a baby.

Very fun game, it's worth every penny in my opinion. If you love playing with your friends, then I would recommend it to you. Also invest into a good microphone, because you cannot type and play at the same time.

This, but bear in mind if you brave the public servers there's a good chance of picking out some decent players, putting them on your friends list and then having a game consisting of just these hand-picked gamers. Fun ensues!
Well, yes that can be quite true. I think though that it's just me and that I have the worst luck when comes to being paired with random players. I always get stuck with mean, cheap, annoying, and/or rude players. That's just my luck though.

You mean the no content updates like the one its getting this month? A new mode for the game and the other 2 maps for Versus.

Plus SDK for PC meaning the thousands of user made campiagns.

Yes for PC.

No for Xbox 360.

I give a very solid NO.

While I enjoyed the game, there was not enough variation in the game to justify the sticker price. I rented it, and after 2 days, found out I am just replaying the first level over and over with a different background. The concept was good(true multiplayer), but the delivery failed for me because it was the same thing again and again. Only worth a rent in my mind.

Yes and no.

Yes: For the reason that L4D is everything you ever wanted for multiplayer. Survive the zombie apocalypse... with your friends. The game seamelessly blends co-op action with gripping survival-horror, sure to keep you playing away into the night on your first go-through. It gets even better with versus mode, where you can be ifnfected. The only thing more satisfying than blasting a zombie off your friend is being that zombie when you jump on him.

No: L4D is a great game, but the community falls short. Wherever you go you can find people who let down the team, either by using glitches, not having a mic (Which I HIGHLY reccomend, or team-killing. The difficulty curve is a steep one at the higher levels, so unless you play at a high difficulty constantly, you're going to have a tough time getting teams together that are worth two shits.

I got it, and I have never regretted my choice. Its a ZOMBIE CO-OP SURVIVAL EXTRRRRRRRRRRAVAGANZA. make sure you bring a mic.

I have to agree. Left 4 Dead in concept sounds like an absolute blast, but the actual game was just boring for me. I played it with my friends and we stopped after doing the first campaign. It all just feels so 'samey' just shoot horde of zombies, kill special zombie, progress a little bit, rinse repeat. I just found it boring, even with friends.
