Is MAG worth the money?

I think the *idea* of MAG is really cool. The realization of said idea though, will probably consist of lots of lag, rubberbanding, grenade spam, annoying people/children with microphones, and Sniper Bastards.

So I guess I have an official "We'll see" stance.

In my experience with the game, this is the least amount of lag I have seen in any online game ever. For what it does of course.

And there is next to no one on PSN who has a mic.

What's rubberbanding?

The most common form of rubberbanding is that peculiar occurance when the server and your game are out of sync, when you move around, then get snapped back to someplace you just were, like a rubberband being stretched out and released, with one end held/nailed down.

Judging by the beta,there is no lag at all.Or so little that you don´t notice it.

Possibly.But there hardly any places where you can´t run away from grenades so it's all good.

MAG is on the PS3 so not allot of people have mics.

Sniper Bastards.

Snipers are underpowered to prevent that.

Oh, and get AssCreed 2. Worth it. Worth it, worth it, worth it. MAG can come later.

There's no lag whatsoever, there's no rubberbanding whatsoever, you can't throw grenades very far, it's not Xbox Live, and what the hell is wrong with being a sniper? Have you even played it?

Anyway, it really comes down to if you prefer multiplayer or single player. You said you liked to beta so I'd say go for MAG.

I actually think MAG might be a MW2 killer. It seemed pretty fun based on the beta, and the actual game is bound to be A LOT better.

I had alot of fun playing MAG, but I am worried that after a couple of months there won't be many people playing online and it will be hard to find a full 256 player game. Also considering the game won't start until 256 players are ready, I think a couple of months from now you could be in for some really long wait times between matches.

I am cautiously optimistic about the game. I've enjoyed what I have played though.

MAG looks great, I really don't understand why people keep saying it looks bad.

The MAG beta just filled me with "meh". It will probably be an alright multiplayer game like Warhawk but won't make me run to the shop to get it.

This, I wasn't incredibly impressed with the MAG beta. But I'd kill an hour or so on it if I was bored, probably wouldn't actually buy it though.

MAG beta is awesome, ill be getting the full game, got AC2 the day it came out and loved it and cant wait for the DLC, but MAG got more replay value IMO.

I just downloaded the beta for MAG and I have to say, its pretty awesome. I cant wait to see what the maps will look like with 256 players and the other game modes sound pretty varied and fun.

But is it worth the 40 or so pounds? I already have MW2, which is awesome too; but will MAG be enough to make me stop playing MW2?

I was considering buying this or Assassin's Creed 2: so which one is better do you think? I know its hard to judge a game just on it's Beta but will it be worth the money?

AC 2 got boring for me.
As i had the longer MAG beta, i can safely say im not gonna get bored of it.

I played AC2, beat it in about 2 days, then stopped.
Its a good game, but trying to lengthen the game by collecting feathers or do puzzles that are optional isnt the way to do it.
And i havent played MAG yet anyway.

The scale of the fights will probably make it worth £40 without a doubt. I remember going into the Resistance 2 30v30 fights for the first time and almost blowing my load at how fun it was.
Hopefully MAG will be the same, and looking at the map design on the beta, I have a feeling it will be.
NB MW2 is rubbish. Relieving a constipated cow is more enjoyable and rewarding then that game. I also found AC 2 to be very meh. Mate bought and played it at my house for a few days and that did not sell it to me, and im a 3 rd person fan.

A bit of an apples and oranges topic...can't really tell, if you were to ask two games in the same genre I might have something to suggest.

As for AC2, that whole reading genetic memories of an assassin in the past family tree thing still annoys the fuck out of me for just sounding silly when it comes to story, and it still downgrades any interest I might end up with with the game....0o
