I have never seen any thing about it aside from the news page a few days ago about all of the lipsinc trailers (if that's what you can call them) of other things; all of which were pretty cool.

Considering how many "Bronies" (male fans who are clearly outside of the target audience) there are, it has to be doing something right.

That, or there is brain control in one of the later episodes. I've seen the first one, and it wasn't good, (in my opinion, of course). This further makes me question if brain control is used later on.

It gets a little less story-centric in the episodes after the pilot (1 and 2) and turns more into a slap-stick kind of thing with friendship flowing out the whazoo.

With some kick-ass musical numbers I may add.

also Pinkie.

I can't say for sure, as I haven't actually sat down and watched it yet. I'm actually kind of apprehensive about such a prospect however. I think I might be a prime candidate for "bronydom," and I'm afraid it might consume me.

No, it's so horrid because it has made so many people watch every episode and make the usergroup on the Escapist quickly rise to stardom.

Yes, it's good.

Why not see for yourself?

I'd recommend watching the first 4 episodes before you make your decision. Also, if you like it....

Well good sir, I should know. For it was not that long ago.

I gave it a try, I took the first step. Now I write fics about it, the words fill my day with pep.

I speak in ryhme, like my hero Zecora the great. She rules the world, no matter the date.

Realize now, you have no choice. But to read this in her voice!

Give the show a fair run. And you will fall as well, and have fun.

The reason I like it is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. As a result, it can do a lot of really wacky things (see the episode Party of One where a character goes a little crazy).

If the show tried to play itself straight, or stick the plot introduced in the pilot, it would be stupid. As it stands, it's basically an animated Seinfeld.

With ponies.

I just started watching the show last night and I liked it.

This is coming from a guy that hates anything cheesy or childish from Twilight to Bieber. Simply put, I swear the show has some sort of demonic charm that possesses the viewer with unnatural love for the show.

It has all the elements that I hate about kid shows and yet I like it... It's INCONCEIVABLE. >.<

I think it is very good, but I really don't know why exactly. It's got a very large following on this site, and pretty much everywhere on the internet, so I'd say to at least give it a try.

The episode that got me hooked was this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOS8i5t7FEg

I'd recommend starting there as it's generally agreed that the 2 first episodes aren't as good as the rest of the series. If you enjoy it, you have plenty more episodes to watch. If you don't, then it doesn't matter. There's nothing to lose...

Unless you're worried about this of course. In which case you should probably stay away, because it really can consume you... as I have found out...

Episode 10, actually. It features an evil enchantress. When people look into her eyes, they end up in trances. I could continue the song, but I'd just be wasting your time.

Thing is, in order to make it to episode 10, you already have to be hooked, so it doesn't matter anymore by that point.

Episode's one and two are pretty bad. One at least introduces the main cast, but two is just a standard, played from the hip kids show. It doesn't start to get good until episode three.

That being said, the last five minutes of every episode tend to be skip worthy, mainly because they see the need to shoe-horn in the requisite 'moral.'

I watched five episodes and decided it wasn't for me. Some parts weren't bad, but not my kind of show.

It was developed as a 'family' show. So basically, many of the ideas and phrases used are something that older viewers would pick up (And understand), whereas younger viewers would remain oblivious. Basically, being older and more knowledgeable causes you to see the show differently from someone who is, say, 12.

That's a bad explanation. So here's a good one! It has strong female characters and it passes the the Bechdel Test! BLASPHEMOUS! Almost NOTHING passes the Bechdel Test. (It's true. Try it for yourself.)

In order to pass the Bechdel Test, the show must feature at least two women who have at least one conversation and it must be about something other than men.

It's actually a good show, if I were you, I'd watch it just to make sure your not missing out on something you like. But don't watch the first two episodes and then quit, they weren't exactly as good as some of the ones that came after it. Try the fourth episode before the pilot ones, that was one of my favorites.

Everyone has their own opinions, obviously bronies will say they love it.. which I say too because (in my opinion) it is a great show.

But of course but who don't like it, refuse to watch it, or trolls will obviously say it's not good.
You should watch the first few episodes and see if you like it or not.
