The main campaign is pretty decent (Act 1 is fucking tedious though) but I'd only recommend it for Mask of the Betrayer.

The great thing about the NWN series is that it's the game that keeps gaming. For 10$ I'd say buy it, then head here http://nwvault.ign.com/ and download some of the top mods and hackpacks. Play through the OCs once you're done.
The main game itself is average based on Bioware standards, and pretty good based on any other standards.
The first expansion is nothing short of brilliant, though... so I'd recommend you play through the main game and the first expansion, at the very least. The expansion I'm referring to is Mask of the Betrayer. Just brilliant.
