From the GT review it sounded like a load of crap... but for some reason the scores were high, for the very same review.

It's a lot of fun. I also wrote a review on it, but I'll be short about it.

It looks fantastic, the music is great, it has a great story (though some elements are a bit clichéd. Though the platforming and the combat are a bit on the easy side, it looks fantastic as well and is a lot of fun.
The downsides are that the game is fairly short, and, as said above, a bit on the easy side.

They do that constantly.

I'm getting it for christmas...I'm not getting my hopes up. From what I hear, its really, really, stupidly easy, like a kid who struggled with Fable will find it easy. I don't care for challenge that much, sometimes I want a challenge, sometimes I just want to go brain dead and press the "fuck you" button over and over again, at least if theres something else that keeps me playing.

This does look like the most beautiful game I've ever seen, plus the story may, MAY be good, though i have a feeling the oddly american prince will piss me. I'll just have to wait and see. Sands of Time is my faviourite game, so if this game is bad I plan to create a review where I piss all over its mangled corpse.

If it sucks: Flame it!
If it's good: Play it more.
If it's the greastest thing since me: Spread the word of how epic it truly is.

You shouldn't take GT reviews seriously. They are very bad reviewers.

I think Prince of Persia is a good game. Not the best Prince of Persia game (kinda confusing) but it's something new and interesting. It's more of a plattformer than a fighting game. If you want it rent it.

Hopefully this can be used as an example of games as art. It's bloody gorgeous and looks like a painting come to life. Almost, except for the black borders around characters.

It was alright, I beat it last week.

The complaints about the game being easy are little silly when you step back and take a look at whats actually going on in the game. Whenever you fail at something, whether it be platforming or combat, Elika saves you with her magic. So you literally CANNOT FAIL. No matter how many times an enemy hits you in combat, no matter how many cliffs you jump off of, Elika will always save you at the last second and you'll have to try again. Really that is no different, in fact I would say its a lot better than, watching The Prince die and having to reload the level and start all over again. It's the same thing basically, just without a loading screen.

If you fail at any time during a platforming sequence, Elika grabs you and teleports you back to the last piece of solid ground you were standing on. And in some part of that game that can be quite a ways back. Some platforming sequences are dozens of actions long. If you get hit three times consecutively during combat and fail a quicktime event, Elika will use her magic to blast the enemy off of you. You get up, the enemy gets up and heals half of his missing health, so its like dieing and reloading to an earlier part of the fight, just without any loading time.

If you really liked the last generation of PoP games, you'll most likely enjoy this one. It's different, but I wouldn't call any of the changes a bad thing.
