Is Night Vision useful in any game?

Yes, there were torches in the caves and underground caverns but a lot of the enemies would tend to lurk in the shadows. It's not like the torches were bright as the morning sun anyway. Also, if i remember correctly there is a mission at the bottom of a lake and it was pitch black by the time i finished it. I couldn't have done it without my trusty magic NVGs.

That'd be thermal, not nightvision, though even the night vision is useful in MGS3 when you fight Fury. Well, until he torchlights the entire arena.

But there's one Fallout 3 mod that makes a nightvision mod pretty darn needed.
