I only saw the first two and I personally thought they were pure genious(especially the first one), largely because there was a philosophical point to the killings which from certain perspectives could be both justified and demonized and which actually made you think. Apparently the current ones are all just random gore and murder without the rhyme and reason of the original so I havn't given them a second thought.

Saw 7 AND the game?! WHY?
Damn... And in my opinion the first Saw movie was the only one worth watching. After the second one, I lost complete interest in the series.

i watched the first saw about a week ago and was at the very least displeased. then i rented a random red box movie called horsemen with Dennis Quaid and it got the bad taste out of my mouth.

No, the Land Before Time 11 is too far.
Agreed, but did you see the thread on the pokemon one? like movie number 20+ or something?

and for Saw 7 or w/e. the movie is giving physicos idea's to kill people. that's not a legit reason but i mean. the movie is based off KILLING people in disturbing ways... who the f*** say's
"i enjoy watching people die in horrific disgusting ways"

if you or anyone you know has said that. Get away! and if it's yourself then jump off something really high.....

Holy hand grenade! I wasn't aware that they went past Saw 3! I thought we saw (haw haw) an end to that awful excuse for a thriller. Saw 2 was honestly to much. SAW 1 was alright. But the laws of sequals applies to SAW more than most other movies. It's just some kind of twisted snuff film, otherwise.

I honestly don't care. I don't know why but I love the Saw movies, and I'm fine with them being released every year. Eventually though, it'll need to die.

SPOILER ALERT!
SAW 6 Hoffman is going to be compromised as the new jigsaw killer, and hes going to play more games till they catch him and cap him at the end of the movie.
this is fact.
(trust me)
SAW 7 is not gonna happen, LIONSGATE is a fucking franchise that milks its movies more than george lucas milks star wars. (i think i got that one from Zero Punctuation)

None of the fans really care about them destroying or stretching the story, because it functions the same way stories in porn work. It clumsily ties explicit scenes and money shots together, without interfering with them.
They could just remove the story completely, and leave only the torture scenes, and it would still be a popular title. People would just have more of a problem defending their fandom of it.

I don't care.
After Saw I (easily the best one), I just watched the movies for the traps, not for the plot. ;D

The last one I watched was Saw 3. After that, I thought that there's just no point left in these films. The plot is ridiculous. The only thing these films have going for them is the gross-out factor of watching people get ruthlessly slaughtered in new and interesting ways.
I feel the same way.
I actually lost interest after Saw 2, but I gave number 3 a shoot.
Regretting it still.

I think it went on too long after Saw 1. When I saw it, I actually left the theater and demanded a refund about halfway through, because it was just so bad.
Plus, sequels just get worse and worse over time...
By leaving halfway through the movie you completely missed how mind-twisting wonderful the plot of Saw 1 is.

Saw 4 was too far. Hell, Saw 3 was pushing it. I remember when the first one was considered original and fresh. Look where they are now...
I completely agree. I did feel kind of special for completely understanding Saw 5 though. That movie doesn't make any sense at all if you haven't seen all previous four movies. I might as well have received an "endurance achievement award". That movie in itself wasn't all that good, they were really stretching it, and I was really surprised there was even going to be a Saw 6. But I will see it, and Saw 7 too probably.

The thing is that each year the new Saw movie is featured on a special Halloween event in our local cinema. They avant-premiere four new horror movies in one big marathon, starting at 10 PM and ending in the wee hours of morning.
