Yeah that's exactly what I'm thinking! I love the Earthsea novels. Even the Gore Miyazaki film wasn't that bad.EmperorSubcutaneous said:OP, have you ever read the Earthsea novels? They feature intelligent dragons with their own culture and language.
I would say I'd love an Earthsea game, but that would be difficult to do well. Not a lot of combat in those books.
Hate to say it but the many the cities in Black Marsh got destroyed before the evnets of skyrim and a strange flying island appeared as well. The Virgo said:Also, on the topic of The Elder Scrolls, I know it's stupid to talk about TESVI with V right around the corner, but I just wanted to say that when 6 does come out many years from now, I hope it is set in Black Marsh. Just sayin'.
Well they did say that there would be a £500 DLC that would add dragon riding in response to comments someone made about horse armourPhlakes said:There's one problem though.
You can't ride any.
That's one of the biggest wasted opportunities in gaming history.
Watch the game play things from E3, it says in that dragons will be placed in the world, then left to do as they please.HyenaThePirate said:snip
Thanks for the recommendation! I'm getting kind of tired of all fantasy being about fighting all the time, and it's nice to have the occasional break.HyenaThePirate said:Yeah that's exactly what I'm thinking! But you're right... the Earthsea novels are much more about the wonder of the strange and fantastic world and stories... not combat extensive. The Bitterwood novels are the same if you haven't read them, give em a go. I loved them.
They aren't. The Elder Scrolls games are about the Elder Scrolls, in the sense that you are enacting the events foretold by them. You just don't know it because every monk reads them differently, and cannot tell anyone what they saw till after it happens. Sort of like Nostradomus. Anyway, the game is called THE ELDER SCROLLS 5: Skyrim. It's about The Elder Scrolls, and Skyrim. Dragons happen to be in it. If they ever make a game about the other continent and the Akavir (Tiger-people (not lion like Khajiit), one of which became a dragon) then you will see sentient dragons, and will be able to ride/play as one, but then you wouldn't be playing TES anymore would you?HyenaThePirate said:I'm at least hoping the dragons in Skyrim are intelligent and are the main quest givers.
