A hipster photography student?

There are Facebook, Livejournal, Tumblr etc. groups which focus on beauty found in the decaying and old. You're not weird. You're actually just following a trend which keeps rearing its (literally) ugly head.
That's a bit presumptuous.
What is? The first sentence is a joke. The following paragraph is not presumptuous at all, it's true - I can link you to the multitude of groups there are specifically for this trend. The rearing its literal ugly head is, again, a bit of wordplay.

In typing this I realise you almost certainly mean I was implying the OP was following a trend to try and appear cool? Little presumptuous of you, don't you think? :D (that's also a joke, in case it's lost on you too)
Yeah, I guess it was >_< sorry.

Nope, you're not alone. There is a strange sort of beauty in the abandoned and the old; a feeling of discovery and excitement at refinding something tha tmay have been lost for years. You might consider archaeology as a career. I particularly love the feel of an old city as late afternoon, dusk. Old concrete and abandoned, overgrown parking lots. It has a sense of romance to it.

So, you like old places because they make you feel sad, but sad is happy for deep people, so you're fine.

Just watch out for Angels...

Okay, I'll cut the Doctor Who references now.
whatever you do, don`t blink XD

Not at all.

In fact, that's kinda touching.

Be proud of who you are. Find beauty in whatever you can. Try and figure out ways to explain why to people, and maybe they'll be able to see what you see.

fairly sure quite a few historians would also be weird if you were.
If you aren't harming or inconveniencing anyone with your interests, who cares if others call it weird? there's nothing wrong with it.

Also, Google Chrome, I love your spell check, but why did I have to google how to spell inconvenience when there was only one spelling mistake in the word?
