Now, before you think, "Don't be ridiculous! Why would Zelda ever go to space?" consider this. From Ocarina of Time back, the theme has been medieval. Enter Wind Waker, and there has been significant technological development. Canons, massive ships, cranes, very high-tech in comparison to the previous games. Now look at the newest one coming out, Spirit Tracks. Trains? That is a very quick development! So, my question still stands. Will there be a Zelda set on Planet Hyrule? If so, when?

You want to thoroughly rape everyone's childhood memories and condemn this series to a beyond horrible death?

Of course not! I don't like the idea either, but it is a possibility.

A possibility that should be taken out back and thrown in a wood chipper.

This is one of those ideas that has to be done absolutely right, or it fails horribly. I'm able to be a little open to this idea, because I'm not seeing it as Link in a spaceship wearing a spacesuit. Link has already been to the "moon" in "Majora's Mask" I can't see why that idea can't be expanded upon, in a subtle way though. I'd be a little reluctant towards a game called: "The legend of Zelda: In Space!"

Interesting, I know it'll never happen but I'd love to see it done. I seem to remember hearing about an april fools joke once about a future Zelda with Epona being the name of a motorcycle and a gun with the word Master engraved on it. Don't ask me where b/c I cannot for the life of me remember.

So we figured that Link was the logical choice. Then we argued that it would've been kind of strange for us to give Link a gun, so I proposed a sort of Terminator style story about a time warp from the future, but...
It was a brainchild that died shortly after conception...

Oh, are there gonna be Space Fairys as well? Will you be able to land on that moon with an angry face? What about Dekus in astronaut suits?

I say yes, YES... The possibilities for creative freedome and just plain craiziness are endless if we send Link to another Solar System. I can picture it now (I've actually proposed a sci-fi Zelda on a thread a while back ago) The aliens that abduct cows in Majora's Mask can have something to do with the plot, but overall I just think that imagination can run WILD if something like that is ever created.

Whoah. Totally forgot about that! More evidence to support the theory.
