Is Steam the modern day PS2?

This is literally the first time I've ever heard or seen anybody calling a computer with Linux installed "a Linux".

well it's not officially called that, but it's usually considered seperate from the PC, which is commonly associated with Windows, even if Macs and Linux computers are technically PCs.

I can kind of see a similarity. My friend who has a "if it's not on Steam then I'm not buying it" mindset is the same friend who had a "if it's not on PS2 then its obviously rubbish" mentality.
