Is Tea-bagging disappearing from mainstream shooters?

I've never teabagged anyone in my life. Never had the opportunity, it doesn't seem super fun.

I wish martyrdom would go "pro" with the option "only explodes when nuts touch corpse"
That is the most win I've ever read in any comment ever.

OT: Tea-bagging is not disappearing. I was teabagged in MW2. It can definately happen in hardcore, a game type in which no one has martydom on. (Well, almost no one)

To me, it honestly seems like a waste of time. In Killzone 2 and Modern Warfare 1 and 2, you die unbelievably fast since you can't absorb so many bullets. In Resistance 2, it's absolute madness with 30 vs 30, with grenades exploding every second and sniper teams of 5+. Only in Halo, since you absorb a shitload of damage can you do this and get away. The last time I've ever seen teabagging was in Warhawk.

Teabagging? Disappearing?
[HEADING=1]HA![/HEADING]
That's a joke if I've ever heard one. Just log onto MGo or Halo 3 and you'll see teabagging is still very regular and always done by fucking douchebags using lagswitches.

I tea bag people, some times. To me it's novel because when I first started playing these games there was no way to effectively do it.

I reserve it for only those who piss me off. Like the guy who just killed my team mate. I put a few slugs in his back and he runs around a corner. He then interrupts my revive because he thought it would be cute to turn around and nail me with a defib out. After a bunny hop, rear fake and left strafe while pulling out my pistol and putting six slugs in his face- I teabag him for being such a little pain in the ass.

I also teabag clanners who think because they have a tag next to their name, they're hot shit.

I honestly think it's being phased out with the new killcams taking place from your killer's perspective and the fact that you have tiny health pools.

Somebody call Glenn Beck! The teabaggers are gone!

Seriously, though, there's hope for humanity yet if this lameness is truly subsiding.

Since Call of Duty 4, and the scare of Martyrdom, it seems that the concept of Tea Bagging is slowly, but surely disappearing. Since deathcams these days tend to focus on the guy who killed you rather than your corpse, or respawn times are so short, there's no satisfaction in Tea Bagging anymore...What do you think?
Ive played fps online for aaaggeeess and unless it is with friends screwing around, ive never been T-bagged :| Mind you I have never played a halo game online, which may have something to do with it...

Ive never understood the point of t-bagging, doesnt the score/killdeath ratio speak enough lol

It doesn't. Clanners will tell you because it's a pub it doesn't matter; even if you just dropped 4 of theirs like nothing in a Team Death Match.

Apparently you aren't 1337 until you get on a headset with a bunch of a nasally children and make what is supposed to be your fun past time a laborious hobby.

Tea bags to those people.

P.S. I never did play Halo or CS- I'm very particular about the mechanics in my shooters. Is that where it came from?

I teabag as a boomer in L4D because the animation is so funny. Hell sometimes people just teabag when there is nothing underneath them because the animation is so funny. Then again, against a good team dragging a survivor down actually feels like an achievement.

Play Halo 3, tea bagging is still around. There just isn't really any reason to do it in the easier CoD games.
Fixed that for you.

I just realized why the new AvP does not have a crouch button...

I kid. But yeah, I don't see it that often, not even in Halo. I only see it when I vs. some of my more immature friends online. In any game they'll tea-bag me.

Excellent, 1 good thing to come out of Martyrdom !

To be fair, I don't play XBL where I'm sure it's more prominent in Halo and such games.

But I only ever used to see it on Killzone 2 online for some reason :S

Thankfully, Tea Bagging seems to be slowing down.

If I wanted someone's nuts on my face I'd go to a gay bar.
that's sorta the point.

Let us hope so. In any case I'm glad that teabagging is impossible in TF2. (you can do it but the guy you just killed will not see it.)

zauxz said:
Oh you can still do it. Just say "I'm a douchebag" into the headset.
Also, this.

Once Halo Reach comes out, I will be back in full force. It is most effective when they are forced to look at their corpse for 5 seconds or so after they die, like in Halo. In games like CoD, you never really see what happens after you actually die. People will usually only teabag if they know their opponent can see it happen.
As with PREBAGGING. You crouch up and down a few times before you kill the target. Yay for killcams.
Yeah, that is definitely true. It has a bit more satisfaction in it, because it is so ballsy to do it right in the middle of the fray. But as previous posters said it, its so dangerous and it could lead to you made looking like an idiot.
In certain situations, you look like a SUPAH PRO.

I kept crouching up and down behind a sniper, about to knife him(i was prebagging him) and his friend accross the map kept trying to headshot me, but trying to get me when i stood up. I kept crouch at the right times, so he kept missing me, and i shot them both.

Double Prebag. It was the best moment ever.

I then turned off the console, and went outside to the real world, never to play COD4 again.
