Is Team fortress 2 still popular?

I was thinking of buying the orange box (already own for Ps3 but...you know...shitty port and all.) at a local game store for $20, i already got portal (Free day when it was ported for mac.) But i want to know if a lot of people still play TF2 because i really need a new Fps as I've gotten bored of CSS.

Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2, Team Fortress 2 and Just Cause 2 are my most played games on Steam.
Maybe I have a thing for 2s. :/

I still play it almost frequently. There are plenty of pub servers, and if you get more into it you can join communities centered around private servers.
The frequent and varied updates really help keep it alive.

Yes, the TF2 community is still booming on PC, thanks to constant updates and community mods.

All the constant updates, and maps are keeping the pc version online. The system ones.... their pretty dead.

It's quite popular on the PC, but I must admit, I've come across a few servers that have bots on it. Kinda sad, really. I never thought something so widely liked would have to resort to bots to keep the server busy.

Currently, for the PS3 people are hacking using G-Mod somehow, so get it for PC. Hell get it for PC anyway, PS3 and 360 is like the watered down version.
