Yes the 3D version, is I'd say worth a watch if you enjoyed the storyline and premise of the prequels despite all the other flaws, and alot of the moments are quite enjoyable and amazing

But of course it suffers from the fact that you know pretty much who lives and dies if you know anything about star wars

so alot of the drama is lost on that

Personally I really enjoyed it, well for the most part some of the episodes really do suck, (*cough* jar jar binks *cough*) more than any other tv star wars related thing I'm aware of and I am planning on watching all 6 seasons, but its really a matter of taste, not perfect but not horrible either. So pretty much a mixed bag, some episodes are good, others are bad, and the rest are decent

So honestly maybe watch the first few episodes and see what you think

I don't like the prequels.
I hate Attack of the Clones.
Of all the things I hate in Attack of the Clones it's the implementation of the Clone Wars that sticks in my craw the most.

So keep that in mind when I say that thw Close Wars series is extremely watchable.

It completely contradicts concepts established in the movies, it suffers from the same "small universe" problems that the movies did and it gets entirely too cutesy poo at times (lookin' at you Hutt clan) but it's still a fun show.

The 2008 version is...hit or miss. The movie was definitely catered more for children than the "main" Star Wars films, and it showed. As for the show, I lost interest towards the end of season 1. It has its moments, but they can be few and far between.

If you really want some excellent Clone Wars action, try the 2003 series by Genndy Tartakovsky. It's one of the few genuinely awesome things (along with Jango Fett and the Republic Commando video game) that came from the disappointments that are Episodes II and III.

I present to you exhibit A:
Actually, that scene alone should be all the persuasion you need. If that display of ultimate badassery didn't sway you, then nothing will...and you're probably dead on the inside.

3D animated. watch the first episode, if you don't like it switch off. you are done.
The show has some of the worst episodes i have ever watched out of any show i have liked. if like me you didn't appreciate jar jar's antics then every 3rd or so episode will have you scratching your eyes out and wishing you could punch the writer in the head but it's that 1 in 5 episode that really hits the mark that kept me watching.

I should have clarified when I made this that I was looking at the 3D series, I had forgotten that the 2D series existed. I think I tried watching the 2D series a long time ago and I lost interest because the episodes were ally short. It looks like the general consensus so far is that the 3D series is worth it, but I need to flip the switch on my brain. Also, I think I need to look at the description before each episode and if I see Jar Jar, skip that shit and save my brain the agony.

I'm sure there is a couple of videos that show the 2D series as two complete movies, one for each season.

As for the 3D series, the skipping Jar Jar episodes is a good rule to follow.

Which Clone Wars series is this?

If this is the older 2D version by Samurai Jack's creator Genndy Tartakovsky then hell yes you should continue. Remember how sad General Grevious was in Episode 3? In this series he is a certified hero killer.

The only thing I remember about the 3D series was that Grevious had stock footage of him escaping via ship.
H-holy shit... That was amazing o3o

OT: Yeeeaaaahhh, no. If we are talking about the 3D movie, an even bigger NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I don't know much about the 3D series myself. 2D series was cool.

2D: FUCK YES! If you haven't seen this yet, do yourself a favor and <link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTmIwOLfUlM>do just that! If you have, then go watch it again and wish that it could have been longer!!

3D: Eh... It has its moments, mainly when it involves characters not directly involved with the prequel movies that much... The best I can say is that it's good when it's good and bad when it's bad, but overall for what it's worth, it's not that bad of a show... Just the first two seasons, to me, were not as good looking back as the last two seasons were, let alone the "lost episodes"...

All I've seen on the 3D/CGI series was the gods-awful movie. It probably isn't a terrible series on the whole but I would assume the series on the whole isn't all bad but nothing I would have gone out of my way to have watched. The 2D animated version from the early/mid 2000's however is a must-see.
