Yeah. Most FPS games still have a free-for-all/deathmatch mode.

But team based games are becoming more and more common, with balance issues being massive in free-for-all due to modern customization.

Delta4062 took the words out of my mouth, the "team" games on cod are no such thing, there's just a couple of random people who you shouldn't shoot in the way of the enemies sometimes.

Half the time I play online shooters there's no teamwork in team modes.

It's not necessarily a bad thing. It's useful for those who don't have friends who are good at shooters online. The game is fun on your own, and fun with mates.

Yeah i completely agree, sorry if that sounded like an insult to cod, i was just trying to make the point.
