They run the fastest, jump the highest, can take bases at double speed, can incapacitate even ubercharged enemies, can become invulnerable and have knockback shotguns.
Now I may be biased against scouts as I play as a Spy + Sniper + Heavy but still, its a bit much isnt it?

No.

The force of nature deals less damage than the normal shotgun(I think Valve already added that...) and holds less bullets and reloads slower.
The Bonk drink removes your pistol and therefor the ability to shoot from afar(theres lots of people that like that pistol), it also gives you a side effect when the bonk effect is over tho I cant remenber which one(You run slower or you get damaged more something)
Using the Bat stun thingie removes your double jump.

Edit:You can still melee with the Sandman my bad.
Edit2: added more negative sides of the Force a Nature.

Edit3:You can see them better detailed here http://www.teamfortress.com/scoutupdate/

The Sandman's a load of shit, but everything else is fine. Force of nature was also designed for knockback.

Personally, i don't use any of the new weapons. I need the pistol, i need the double jump and the force o' nature is in my opinion, rubbish...

I'm an old school scout :D

The "Bonk" is a red harring, it doesn't stun for long, and isn't that easy to control.
The bonk is the drink, The Sandman is the stun.
Right, but when you hit someone with the baseball, a big "BONK" appears above their heads, so I always called it a bonk.

I think the Scout was the most underpowered, and the update appear to reflect that. Sure, the Scout was fast and useful, but only in niche situations. So they added new mechanics to make the scout be interesting and utilitarian, without being more deadly. Things like Knockback provided them with ways around people, makeing the Scout more survivable without being more deadly. Bonk gave them a way to deal with sentries that wasn't foolproof, but made them not be stupid when they reached a sentry in a choke point. And the Sandman provided a way to distract and disrupt, and generally support the team indirectly. Also, it gave them the special niche of being able to balance out Ubered enemies, which makes the stalemates-broken-by-ubered-enemies situation much more interesting. I think that adding so many new mechanics was bound to lead to players finding ways to break these mechanics, so it was a dangerous proposition: When I was playing after initial release, there was definitely some exploitation of the Sandman. But Valve will balance it in time, and may have already. After all, they can track stats, and adjust accordingly.

I only have the PS3 version and in that the Scout is definitely overpowered. His melee weapon kills in about 2 hits and his scatter gun is an instant kill at close range and kills in about 2 hits from medium range.

You joking right?

Scouts before-update were barely played...

Not really, The Sandman is a major pain in the ass tho.
I love the little buggers, for some reason they jump right into my rockets!

Could the people discussing on this thread state whether they play as PC, 360 or PS3, it might not sound like much but the difference between the 3 is huge!.

A scout on the PC is ultra tough
A scout on 360 is a nobody
and I didn't even know the PS3 version worked, i'd rather not get cramp myself trying to play as a scout on PS3, I just know it hurts playing as him.

No way, the scout is made for skilled players. An overpowered class is usually something anyone can use. The Demoman is overpowered.

Hmm...The Demoman aint that easy to use...takes some skill to use it good.

The most easy classes to use is Heavy and Medic.
