So Dark spore came out recently.
Initially it looked temping but with a $70 price tag and promotional advertising aimed at co-op I cant help wondering if the single player content is worth it.
So people who have played it would a gamer who doesn't normally play multiplayer enjoy darkspore or should I just go back to din's curse and minecraft?..

Never heard of Darkspore. However, I did once play a game called Spore for about 70$......wasn't worth it.

After looking it over a bit, absolutely not at $70.
ASIDE: Looks like they're hiking prices again and seeing if the general public will bite.
Personally, I follow the following guideline: If it's from EA, it's automatically worth at least $15 less than its retail price. And that includes Bioware titles.

Naw. Spore was a bit of a disappointment, and this game looks even more limited. If you do want to get it, wait for a price drop.

Played in the Beta, and the answer is a categorical no. No aspect (nor all of them combined) is worth that much. About time people stopped paying extortionate prices for god-awful games. This plays like an arcade game, and as such belongs in the 'bargain bucket'.

Yup, so in AUD it is about $63.. but as steam just lists in USD I figured I wouldn't convert it..

Sounds like a resounding no... Back to din's curse while waiting for dungeon siege III, torch light II, diablo II and what ever the next Soldak game is...

It's set at $50 from where I'm looking.

Where are you looking from?

Also, no, I wouldn't pay $70 for it.

I played the beta for an hour or two and this is a definite no. I wouldn't pay a dollar for it. From my experience it is an uninspired Diablo clone with a on the fly character switching a la Trine. I felt more temptation to buy Torchlight at $10.

That said I only bothered to beat Diablo once, and only played a bit of Diablo II. Take this as you will.
