Is the world ready for another consol?

a friend in japan sent me this weird japanese video...in japanese...it showed a whole bunch of weird pictures...then i noticed a box with the playstation logo on it and i cleverly deduced by asking my friend if it was a new consol, he said it was and that sony is making the PS4.

the problem is i still havent gotten enough game time on my PS3...im not ready for the rumored PS4...

do you think the world is ready for this new consol?

I doubt they are making it. It wouldn't make sense to release the next gen now, when half the world isn't ready to move on from the previous one.

No new Sony or Microsoft consoles are coming out. The first 3 Playstations had playstation logos too. Could be them attempting some anti natal stuff, but it wont be a whole new console.

I saw a video on these very forums showing Japanese people run into a room were a guy was on the floor creepily laughing. He had 3d glasses. That is probably the next step. I hate 3d anyway because its a health risk which is openly admitted on some Tvs. "Do not watch for more then two hours a day as health complications can arise."

Also, proof or your lying. I have no way of knowing what your talking about until I see the same video, or pictures and so on.

Seriously though, even if it is a PS4, it probably won't even be announced for another year, and released for like three years, so you'll have plenty oof time on you're PS3.

Oh yeah, I love it when a new consol comes out, a new consol is the best thing in the world. I can't think of anything more exciting than a new consol. Consols are the best.Consol.Consol,consol,consol...

Not really. Releasing a new console right now would be pretty stupid when every one of the current gen is still going strong.

Instead I would do this if I were the companies:

• Mircosoft - I would spend the time making sure my console won't have a 50+% failure rate. Let's push for 60%.
  
  Sony - I'd try to figure out a way to cut down on my consoles production costs, without sacrificing quality.
  
  Nintendo - I'd focus on optimizing my console.
