My favorite movie is Catch me if you can, since I love con-man movies. However I see we are mostly naming old movies so im gonna go with Casablanca since its a great movie.

Now, A Night at the Opera or Duck Soup, those are masterpieces.

I'd argue that film is entirely subjective and both of the ones you listed are not particularly interesting to me, so I'll list a few I enjoy greatly:

Not kidding, it's a fantastic, ingenious, heartwarming movie that achieves pure greatness in the way of storytelling.

Also, The Dark Knight. Again, I'm absolutely serious.

Oh, and you didn't mention Godfather 2. That one was better, imo.

OT: Metropolis... the 2010 restoration of the original 1927 silent German film... come on it's a beautiful film that was the forefather of Cyberpunk...

Nothing can compare to Memento or District 9 or Tropic Thunder. They're all masterpieces in their respective genres.
