I presume that you can't hear anything that you say when you inhabit a main character. This is a totally realistic presentation of the abomination that was Soulstorm, among other things in this video...that were awesome. Every character has an accent. Usually an "typical" American accent, some have an stereotype English accent, but there are too many accents between states and countries to be able to say that there "isn't" an accent.
