Is there any game you have beaten that you didn't want to end?

Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect (both), and Lost Odyssey. I just wanted to continue playing these, and I wanted more story and more, well, everything.

Nope.

A game that doesn't end sounds a bit nightmarish. If that's what I wanted I would start playing MMOs and stop taking showers.

As for The Witcher 2, I was begging for that game to end by about halfway through the second chapter. Prior to that I had been throughly enjoying it, but by the time it did finally come to juddering halt I was utterly hating every second.

EDIT: Huh. This post came out a bit more caustic than intended. Sorry 'bout that.

Fallout 3
Homefront
Metro 2033
Alpha Protocol
Mafia 2

More missions and above all, what the hell happened afterwards.
I believe Broken steel for Fallout 3 remedied your issue. More missions and what happened after
I have Broken Steel already. Yes it lets me play on, but hopping around the Wasteland for loot tends to get boring. Something like self generating quest's would be awesome.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I really didn't want it to end, and I still want more even after two playthroughs

The original Mass Effect. That game was so awesome. Subsequent playthroughs just don't have the same feel to them, and Mass Effect 2 just didn't have that same feel or atmosphere. I just hope the third game can let me relive that feeling one more time.

Assassin's Creed 2. So much fun, such an interesting story and great bunch of characters. I felt bad when it was all over. Again, there was some kind of feeling I had attached to that game as I played it that I can never get back.

I wish Dragon Age: Origins lasted as long timeline-wise as DA2. DA2, though it had time skips, took place over 7 years (10 if you count the time between the end and varric being interrogated). Origins lasts no more than a year, two if you count the journey from the home city to Ostagar (in the dwarf noble it's plenty of time for the noble hunter to pop out a baby, so unless dwarven gestation is shorter than humans...) Wouldn't have minded hanging out in Denerim, chillaxin with Alistair and rushing off to slaughter any darkspawn that dared peep their heads outta the ground...And now being a grey warden = playing wack-a-mole *bows*

I never wanted Fable 2 to end. Yes, I like the game! Deal with it.

Though most of that comes from the fact that it ended so fucking suddenly. It was like "you've just got the 3rd guy, now to build up your strength and - oop, end of game." But in general, if that game had lasted forever I'd have been perfectly content with it.

Metroid Prime (any)
Final Fantasy X
Pretty much any game I really like so long as it's maintained a steadily rising difficulty curve and new content throughout.

Fallout 3 at least it's open world at the end so you can dip back in, I'd still play fable 2 if I had stuff to do in it other than expand my army of kids. Proper sandbox From Dust would have been awesome just to go back and play with the world.

Hey, I don't need to "deal with it" buddy! I liked it a lot too, more than the original except that they got rid of armor.

Metal Gear Solid 4. Even though I thought it was a good length, and the ending was great, I still wish it was longer. I've played through it twice now, and I want to play it again.

Oh my god, someone else who liked it! We're such a rare breed... and I like that they got rid of armour. Meant I could look like a stylish fucker without being as brittle as uncooked spaghetti.

The only two games I can hink of at the moment is the Golden Sun series and Last Window (it's such an awesome game).

Well, "never want it to end" might be a slight exaggeration, but I understand the sentiment behind it. =)

I usually only feel this ways about replays, though. The first time through a game, I'm all business. I want to beat the damn thing, see how it ends. There is a clear goal in mind.

On replays, however, I'm often playing to recapture the experience, and that's when I start feeling sorry when the game is over too soon. For me, those games were Vagrant Story (I LOVE THAT GAME!), and Metroid Prime.

I also feel this way about certain favourite levels and boss fights though... Especially in Zelda games. I'd live in OoT's Forest Temple if I could.
