Why do people keep saying thumbs? a lot of animals have thumbs the difference is ours are opposable which just means that it can move in such a way that it can touch each digit on the same hand as it...and that's a fairly useless trait.

What makes us unique is out frailness, compared to most creatures we break like twigs without the technology we have now most of us would be royally screwed.

That's certainly not unique.
But fetishes are. And that is why Porn is what makes us different from them lowly animals. We are superior because of that. Remember that!

I would have to say relative compassion. Like in a wolf pack the weakest and thinnest wolf will get the least amount of food while if you put two humans the bigger, stronger one would be more compassionate. Although this is not true for a lot of humans.

Humans can achieve. That sets us apart from every other species ever lived on this planet. We can imagine, conceive, and create. That is why humans are both unique and superior.

I remember something from Gta 4 that came from a crazy guy...
Oh yeah
The thing that sets us apart is the fact that we can masterbate.
I have this weird feeling I shoulden't have said that.

I'm sure that many animals have fetishes. They're an evolutionary necessity. Animals would rather have sex with healthy, fit animals of their species than those that are likely to die and/or have children who would die. That's essentially what a fetish is, a sexual preference, even though we generally use the word to describe a fetish that is unusual in our culture.

Of course, most animals can't operate the machinery to produce porn. Or have a society structured enough to support porn stars. So you have an eighth of a point there.

well animals can't do rhythm or music, and we're the only species with the ability to alter the landscape

We are extremely curious and inquisative. That's the entire reason we have science and technology. I dont see any other animals doing that. Plus, we can get very phychological, at last I can.

The bird imagined, conceived and built his nest, birds are just one example a lot of animals do this when constructing homes or some such, when stripped down your argument becomes "We can solve complex problems" but a whole lot of animals can solve complex problems some of them do it a whole lot faster than humans as well.

On a large scale that's true but on a smaller scare animals can change the land scape as well they dig holes build dams to alter water flow and things of that nature.

Damnit. I keep forgetting sarcasm or subtle humor doesn't always work on the intarwebz.

Animals only have sex for the need of reproduction. They search for the healthiest mate who is most likely to help give birth to the most successful offspring; in the interest of self continuity

Us humans go for people for various reason, usually simple pleasure and, a lot of the time, not to actually reproduce, thus the porn industry. (also included: affairs, one-night stands, prostitutes(may or may not be the same thing as one-night stand), etc...)

I'm not an idiot. I just play that way some times...

No, you have it all wrong. Birds and beavers build to survive, but they have not the myriad of art in design humans have. Yeah, we all build houses, but find a dolphin that put one of its own on the moon. A cheetah, with all of it's speed and physical power behind to travel at the speed of sound. That is what humans have done, and there is a universe more to do.

creating complex tools, even a simple rock on a stick, wielding fire, making movies, documenting our history, longevity (sometimes), good portions of food, I mean really there is so much only our species has done!

Humans built to build to survive without or buildings and science we would be long dead we put the design in because we can, animals have no need for art in the things they build they build them for functionality not so they are pretty to look at, now i ask you to find a man who has been to the depths of the ocean like a whale, or a man who can out run a horse using his own power.

Our accomplishments are meaningless when it comes to setting us apart simply because everything we have accomplished and built merely puts on even footing with the animals.
