Marketing. In terms of both plot and gameplay, Dream Drop Distance really is pretty much KH3.Dragonbums said:Then if they are all moving the story forward, why is the next game called Kingdom Hearts 3? Because that would imply all the games that came out in between the release of KH2 are either expanding on something within the story, or are off branches focusing on other aspects of the series.
OT: Etrian Odyssey IV and Soul Hackers get their EU releases soon, so I'm excited for those. I've heard good things, so I hope they live up to their reputation. No idea when SMT IV will be out here, but I've heard it's fantastic. We'll see if it can topple Lucifer's Call as my favourite JRPG ever, though.
I really want Watch Dogs to be good, but I don't see how it could possibly live up to it's hype by this point.
MGSV looks incredible. If it's done right, it may even topple THief II, for me.
For all the fan-complaints about the real-time combat, I really want Final Fantasy XV. I can see where the fans are coming from, since I prefer turn-based combat myself, but it still looks really enjoyable. Besides, most of the FFs don't have particularly good combat systems anyway.
Dark Souls II looks like more of what I loved about the first, but more refined and prettier.
I'd put Dragon Age II here, but very few people seem to be really looking forward to it. I am, and I hope it's good. I didn't think DAII was horrendous, just kinda mediocre. It still had some really good bits and I thought it had much more interesting ideas than the first, even if they weren't as well executed.
If I had to pick "one" it would SMT IV, though.
