I dunno, nobody has really said anything that makes me feel like magazines are worth it. Differing tastes are mystical things.

No, I don't buy magazines any more. They cost too much each month for information that I could easily get for free online. Hell, even magazine articles get scanned and uploaded eventually. Also, demos are available on Xbox Live and PSN anyway.
This is basically my point. Why buy something when you can get it all for free?
Okay, so you get the bonus of being able to carry it around with you to read where you like. But let's be honest, when you sit down to read a magazine, chances are you'll be in your own house with a computer and an internet connection within easy reach. I understand the comfort aspect of being able to relax and have a read, this is a point I can relate to, but I still don't think it's worth it, personally.
It isn't difficult to get good, trustworthy information online. Nor good articles. There are a million different official gaming sites on the internet, take your pick. They have much more content than you can fit on one magazine, including the demos and mods and tools and anything else you want! So I don't understand the point of view that it's difficult to find good stuff, because it really isn't. And what about the interactivity? You can comment on the articles, post in forums, have your own say on stuff once you've read about it.
Back to comfort, nobody has a nice comfy chair in front of their PC anymore? And if you have a laptop you can read anywhere you want, even in bed if you like.
I actually expected more people to dislike gaming magazines, but it seems I was mistaken from reading the comments - I was under the impression that not many people bothered with them anymore. So i'm sorry for the forthrightness of "is there really a need to have them anymore?"
