Just chill, take a break and you´ll get better. But if it persists, go see a doctor. He´ll proably give you the same advice we´re giving though...

Either you just didnt get enough sleep or you maybe got some cardiovascular system issues. Do you take care about your eating and activity behaviour, might just being you getting unfit and your brain gets less oxygen?

Tiredness? Maybe you are speeding up because you know you can type fast and you've got to the point where you are just going too fast. I find excess of caffiene can have a similar effect as well as things like ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, amphetamine etc, basically most stimulants. Same with the speech, I sometimes find I'll just stop mid sentence and be totally unable to come up with simple words.

I could be making a big to do about nothing or it could very well be something. For a long time I was so good at typing, I was super fast and never made a mistake (or hardly ever) but now I catch myself making big mistakes, like spelling out mean as eman or time as itme, basically replacing every first letter with the second letter. Now I know some of you would say it's just bad typing (or something)but I've been doing it so often lately and I could swear I typed it out correctly, it's like my mind tells me I hit all the right keys when I really didn't.

I also find myself screwing up my words a lot too, it's hard to explain but when I'm talking to someone I'll....it's like going really fast in a car then stopping all of a sudden (slamming on the brakes) know what i mean? Am I slowly becoming dyslexic? I'm probably thinking too much into it but still.

EDIT: I should also mention when I'm reading something I find I read it wrong, like I'll read disturbed as disturbing or something like that, I don't understand it.
I hate to tell ya dude, but that's call getting old. Not to say you'll be put in a home any time soon. It's just that as you get older you tend to lose focus. I know because I went through the same thing, and I'm only 19!

My advice, don't worry about it, and use spell-check.

Could be that you've reached the point where you type much faster with one hand than the other, which means that while you think you're typing at the right speed, one hand is hitting the keys about twice as fast as the other. (Apparently this can happen)

Or, could be that you're tired for some reason and not realising it.

Or, could be that you're thinking too far ahead in whatever you're typing, and just messing up because your hand/eye is no longer connected to your thoughts.

Reminds me of when I first got out of college and didn't have to take notes every day. I remember the first time I tried to jot something down at work that all of the words were misspelled and out of order. I had to stop and retry multiple times. I think I just gave up. Since then, I've gotten better, but I remember it used to happen to me a lot back in middle school after summer break. I'd just lose basic rules of grammar, penmanship, and spelling, even though I was reading a lot. It was strange. One summer I completely forgot how to do long division and I never relearned it. Might want to try to take a break and come back to it. If you have health insurance, it doesn't hurt to go see a doctor, but he probably will just end up wasting your time.

I have a couple of friends with dyslestia (probably spelled wrong) and they have never experienced that typing problem.

Almost sounds like dyslexia, almost but not really, since dyslexia only shouldn't be as issue while typing or speaking. Also Dyslexia is mixing up the letters in the words not adding new ones in.

I'd just relax a bit, is anything particularly stressful going on?

It's probably a minor issue and worrying about it making it psychologically snowball.

Same thing happens to me when I either type too much, am tired, or either/both of those while typing too fast. Just take a break for awhile.

Yes, there is something wrong with you. You seem to have Perfecto-Hypobsessive Chondriosive Disorder, or PHOCD. It means you are a hypochondriac AND you have obsessive-compulsive disorder AND you're a perfectionist.

You can cure this by getting a little more sleep and not worrying so damn much.

Moar pills. The doctor has drugs to fix your right up.

Seriously though, chances are it is because you are noticing that you are typing. As you become better, it becomes muscle memory. Then when you actually think about it, the muscle memory lets up, and you are like a beginner again.

Yeah same thing happens with me. It could be like a temporary dyslexia brought on by stress or something like that. Just slow down a bit & let your mind catch up

You know, a lot of these problems are caused subconsciously by you expecting them to happen: I know it's nigh impossible to convince yourself of something you know to be false, but oddly enough, the human mind can make things true by believing them.

Shame it only applies to the human body...
