Like anything, be it games or movies or TV shows or books or music, whatever. Even to the point of driving others insane with it?
I just noticed this curious thing with me that whenever I see Ducktales, or anything related I immediately need to play the theme song. And I never get tired of it.
I also can watch the movie the Goonies at any time, on repeat and never tire of it. Of course out of respect to my wife I won't do that but I could and have done so in the past. Thats just how much I love that movie... and Ducktales.
So Escapists? Whats your obsessive compulsive media?

Anime wise, Baka and Test. I've rewatched the main series about ten times now. I still laugh constantly and I enjoy every minute of it. Maybe I hope if I watch it enough the anime god will grace us with a third season.

Other than that, I get enough of everything else.

Also watching movies for free at the theater, either because I'm doing the review or covering a festival or whatever. I've been going to the movies for free ahead of release for the past 4 years now. Huge theater, seat wherever I want, practically no people, free soda & popcorn... I can't envision my life without this privilege anymore.

Epic doom, which is a sub-genre of doom metal. Death metal may be my favourite overall genre of music, but there's plenty of that to satiate me. Epic doom, not so much, since it's a very small, niche genre of music. The number of fantastic epic doom albums I listen to barely extends into the double digits, so whenever I find more of it I snap it up in a hurry.

Second to that would probably be western ARPGs. Pretty much all my favourite games (Gothic, Risen, Witcher, Skyrim) are ARPGs, so I'm always on the lookout for more games of this ilk and when I find ones I like (it can be a hit and miss genre) I really, really get into them.

That would be about it I guess. I don't really obsess over things, honestly.

Persona. Since I stumbled onto Persona 4 Golden when looking for Vita games I have fallen in love with the series. I've played through Golden twice, P3P twice and watched the P4 anime twice, all since September.

I absolutely cannot wait for the coming titles in the series. I plan to play through the first 3 games as well but I've been distracted by other titles recently.

For me, it is playing Deadly premonition. I can play that game (and have) played that game multiple times and I haven't gotten bored of it yet, that and bran flakes. That's right, bran flakes. I play entirely too much League of Legends, not a day goes by without a Persona 4 related thought and there has to be something Attack on Titan related going on at least once per hour. I have a very obsessive personality, what can I say.

The first AoT opening is practically on repeat forever, why wouldn't it be? Look at this.


For once i'm going to be that guy and say sometimes, just sometimes, things are popular because they're good. AoT reminded me for the first time in years that Shounen is a genre that can actually produce something good instead of complete drivel 24/7.

Also, forgive me for sounding like a stereotypical English arsehole but I drink tea almost exclusively. It comes from having my PC being technically in the kitchen but not really ('S in like an alcove corner thing) so I have easy access to anything.

Anime in general but specifically Bakemonogatari, as it's my favorite anime ever.
Every time I meet a new person and they're into anime I just show them the toothbrush scene.
At first they're confuse, then intrigued, but still confused and it usually gets them to at least watch the first season.
