I should have guessed it is a drawing about ponies.

Anyways, maybe some color would make it better.

What the fuck? Why is a grown man (presumably) drawing children's TV ponies?

I can draw.

I say this, not to brag, but so that you can tell I know at least a little about what I'm talking about and perhaps why I'm going to be critical.

...ahem...

Lined paper is for noobs. How hard is it, in the world of printer paper everywhere, to use line-less paper? Seriously, not to be mean, but with lines on your paper, it might as well be in crayon.

Your work, itself, is a bit juvenile (subject matter aside), but shows potential for clear lines, sharpness and you seem to have a decent grasp on proportions.

All in all, a beginners pony doodle in a notebook. Not going in the Louvre, but no reason to give up. Keep at it.

Presumably the same reason why "grown men" very often draw, well, anything that you'd claim is from "children's TV". Hell, most of those anime series floating around the chans that everyone obsesses over (a la Rozen Maiden, K-On!, etc) are really for kids/tweens/teens.

I really can't get over how so many people have such rigid, almost draconian expectations of behavior once you're considered "grown". This is why adults consume alcohol, it's the single way they're allowed to have fun/enjoy themselves without ridicule, using the drink as a scapegoat whenever they do anything that is societally "unacceptable".

I'd just like to remind you of a lovely thing called the golden rule and remind you that you're posting on a site that is primarily a haven for video game discussion. You know, video games? The things that did start out as toys for kids, and that many people will berate you for playing because you're a "grown man" and they're "for children"?
This post is so awesome. If any of you are saying "LOL, KIDS DRAWING", 1. I'm taking this post as a joke anyways, but in the case that it isn't, 2. Read what Shiny Koi said. Very wise words and sometimes I think that as adults, we take ourselves too seriously, because now that we are a certain age, we must ridicule stuff that isn't for our age. I'm not saying go out and watch My Little Pony, but at the mere mention of it some people can have the strangest, most defensive reaction. I'm not even sure how old the artist is, Valkyira assumed adult, even the gender, as male, but that user could be a 13 year old girl who likes video games who stumbled upon this forum and posted a picture. If that's the case, I hope she wouldn't see posts like that..
