Ok, I have had a lump in my underarm for quite awhile now and I am quite concerned. After doing some internet "research" it could either be cancer or a cyst but I am not getting enough info. What I can tell you is its presence has not bothered me (no pain in the underarm what-so-ever) and no skin coloration. SO, is it cancer or a just cyst?

Just go to the Doctor and get it checked. There is no way that anyone on the internet can tell you what it is. If it is cancer the early the better that you get something done about it.

I had something similar 5 years ago. Didn't go to a doctor until a lot later. Turned out to be cancer, and I'm still being treated! DON'T WAIT!

Your Armpits? Well first thing that comes to mind is that you lympynodes are there so when you have an infection they do swell and can last ~2 weeks (regardless whether you have any other symptoms).

Secondly, there are a lot of symptoms which could be cancer.

Thirdly, don't jump to conclusions.

Just keep that in mind when you're seeing the GP.

As others have said, it could be a swollen lymph node, but if it's been there more than a week or so you definitely want to see a doctor and get it checked out.
