Is this kid so good at guessing or do you think it's fake? It got me puzzled, but if it's true, it's pretty amazing.

Look at when he says "and your going to stop at one of the letters" (2:03) He forms the "O" with his hands.

EDIT: And depending on which cup the kid picks at the start he probably has different rhymes for him to say to make sure end on the first one.

That's true, he makes an 'O' with his hands. I wonder if kid has been aware of that though. He seems to be surprised at the end.

It's not that the kid is good at anything or that there's an evil trick of sorts. It's true that the kid 'gets it right', but I would believe it to be 'magic'/'mentalist' basics at work here.

Forming the 'O' with his hands is one thing.
Slowing down his on point nodding is another.
'O is for Orange' is bound to work with kids that only just recently learned the alphabet, could also work with most adults. Adults tend to be more random though, they need other ways of manipulating them into being useful.

There's a number of tricks that could/would help if you wanted to do something like this, but why would you want to do that?

The intro guy made me giggle, though.

Must be Avid Merrion's cousin.

I'd say it's a similar thing to the "Red Hammer" emails: http://skeptacles.blogspot.co.uk/2005/08/98-red-hammer.html

It's the power of suggestion. Heck, Derren Brown has created a career out of this, and he admits it's just simple psychology and human gullibility.
