I was on the 360 orange box forums on steam and i found this one thread about how valve can update TF2 on the 360 fiting microsoft's DLC model and keeping every one happy!

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=933858

He talks about how releasing in in one big package will "slaughter" the already broken comunity and that it should be released in 6 month period and how it will fit on the already full orange box and how much it will cost.

so what do you think of his idea? So far it's the first one that's given me hope of the updates coming to the 360.

I got a better idea. Just buy it on the Computer and be done with it already.

Honestly, if you have to pay for something thats free elsewhere, there is a very big problem there. (Legally of course)

If I was Valve, I would let it die on the 360. It's not a console game and it shows.
Oh, they're charging for it. That changes everything.

I am a 360 Tf2er and this idea sucks. Free or bust! Valve got the survival pack out for free.

Regardless of what you prefer, its still outrageous to have to pay money for something that is free elsewhere.

Besides, you can hook up a controller to your computer anyway. So that is no longer an excuse.

Let's be honest here. If you enjoy using a 360 controller for TF2, then get TF2 for the PC. When you boot it up, enable the developer's commentary, and then type in "exec 360controller" without the quotations. Congradulations, you now have the superior version of TF2 with all of the updates and you're still using an Xbox 360 controller.

Which is pretty much exactly what they're waiting for.

Then plug a wired 360 controller into your computer, or buy Microsoft's wireless receiver. I use my controller all the time for games that call for it (which is to say, not FPSes.)

Like, bottled water?

Its not just about preffering a controller, for me at least. I spend time on a computer when I'm at my desk. My desk where I do assignments and study. When I really want to relax, I get away from all that, plonk myself on a comfy couch in the lounge and game on a 42" Flatscreen in high definition.

Oh sure, when I move out of home (and when I'm literally made of money) I can buy all the paraphernalia to get a water cooled top of of the line gaming rig that can connect to a huge LCD and also receive free to air and cable tv channels, but until then I'll stick with my console and controller.

dont wana sounds like a jack ass, but 99% of all games on steam, come with controller support, all you need is the cable which [i presume] comes with the controller when you buy it.

Or better yet, another idea, hook up the controller to your computer and hook your computer up to your TV! Crazy, I know.

The way to fix this(showing HOW to use Mr. Pandah's idea)
1) Buy a wired Xbox 360 controller.
2) Buy a copy of TF2 on the computer.
3) Download drivers for 360 controller on windows.
4) Download Xpadder(Old, free version. Still works fine.)
5) Configure the controls, Xpadder will show you how.
6) Buy something that allowes you to hook up your computer to a TV. Use it.
7) Up the sensitivity on TF2
8) Play.

Yeah, it MIGHT not be HD, but who really cares? Oh wait...

It all depends. If you have a wired 360 controller, then you're set. If you have a wireless, you need to go out and buy a Xbox 360 Wireless Accessory for your PC. It'll run you $20, or $60 if you buy a controller with it.

Here's one of the problems: Valve wants to keep the DLC free, while Microsoft doesn't.[/quotebut if you look at the plan some of it is free
