Seriously, is this actual footage of the game?

Is this the greatest planned leak of all time? Is it fake? Was this actually done by 343 Ind. or Microsoft?

I'm pretty sure it's Halo 4 multiplayer gameplay, but how can a video be so crap and show this much gameplay of Halo 4 that looks so real?

I think it was done by 343 Ind./Microsoft and tried to make it look as fake as possible. But judging by the amount of footage, it clearly isn't fake gameplay.

Terrible audio, horrifying intro, uploader's only video, his Twitter is mostly about getting high, television surrounded by hay, possibly filmed in a farm. Uploader not replying all but one video comment. C'mon. It's too bad to be fake.

It looks like it could be real. I mean, the game is pretty much done, and 343, just like most companies, probably use beta testers to find kinks in the game engine, glitches, etc. So, it's probably not fake, especially only six months from the release date, but I wouldn't call it "the greatest reveal of all time."

The real question should be do we care if it is halo 4.. If it is it sadly will be just more of the same old thing they have done again and again and again.

If we are assuming it is genuine; Here's my only theory

I don't think these guys are genuine beta testers so maybe a beta tester had his console and beta copy stolen?? I still don't see what self respecting thief wouldn't have stolen himself a HD TV and proper mobile phone by now but hey, maybe he sells that stuff for drugs.

However it may be an elaborate internet hoax... but I can't see anyone that has the programming skills to make a passable fake even being aware of such awful music.

That's pretty much the rebuttal for both my scenarios above... It MUST be evidence of some sort of portal into a weird steam-punk type universe of farmers and awful music... wonder if prototype 2 for PC is out in that dimension ^,^

Please please please let this be the most bizarre attempt at viral publicity ever.

Because if it is then EA will have lost their crown as the kings of unbelievably WTF marketing, and they will go so insane that they will not rest until they top it... leading them to decide to generate buzz for Dead Space 3 using 'leaked footage' of John Riccitiello playing it while using a mass driver to throw live kittens into the sun.
