Is Twin Peaks watchable these days?

for anyone who is a twin peaks fan there is an episode of the tv show psych that did a homage to twin peaks called "dual spires" even has a lot of the twin peaks cast in it

I am a BIG fan of David Lynch, and my personal opinion on how watchable Twin Peaks is today is this: for those who are not fans of the show, you should watch only the episodes directed by David Lynch himself. In other episodes the directors seemed to be trying to follow a very vague overview of what the series plot was supposed to be, like they are just filler. Not much happens in the episodes that air between the David Lynch-directed episodes, as if he wasn't even there when they were writing those.

So if I get it straight, post killer reveal watch only the episodes directed by lynch? And then the "Fire walk with me"?

Exactly! (Although even most of the episodes before the killer reveal that are not directed by Lynch are questionable viewing, in my opinion.)
