Is your favorite Manga also your favorite Anime?

Hardly. Fruits Basket is my favorite manga, with Negima coming in a very close second, and neither of those had good anime adaptations (though Negima!? was at least entertaining).

Not really sure what my favorite anime would be, though Toradora would currently make the best showing. Wasn't that impressed with its manga adaptation, either (though I haven't read the original light novels, yet).

Nope, my favourite anime is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. My favourite manga is Saiyuki.

manga-> yu-gi-oh *the actual one thats not about card games* anime-> SGT. Frog/pani poni dash, so much awesome also so very random

My favorite manga is Yokohama Shopping Log, and my favorite anime is Revolutionary Girl Utena. Both have anime/manga counterparts, but IMO, the adaptations are lacking compared to the original.

The series that's my go-to for having both a good anime and manga is Berserk.
