Interesting question... I guess not actually. I would say Dark Souls 1 and The Witcher 3 vie for first position on my favorite games list and I wouldn't consider the rest of the games in their respective series anywhere close to the top. I only played the Witcher 2 and found it rather obtuse and confusing while DS 2 and 3 just didn't live up to the first game at all.
Deciding on a favorite series is tough. The first one that jumps to mind actually is Splinter Cell. I've played all of them from Pandora Tomorrow onward and have had a ton of fun with them. Total War is another great series of games and Gears of War will always have a place in my heart. Then there's the Batman games.... Jeez, I guess I can't really choose. But to answer your question OP, no I suppose not.
