Last time I checked, almost all the pokémon could be either gender, and they look exactly the same except in a few cases.

I dunno though, I haven't played pokémon in a while.

Triva - Bidoof, Hippopotas, Combee, Venusaur, Sneasel, Snover, Buizel, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, and Wobbuffet are the only Pokémon to have had their gender differences shown in the anime.

The head stripe on a female Patchirisu is shorter though.
