Has been both the safest city in the UK.
Is the greenest city in the UK (as in we have lots of plant life, not green power) with each person in Sheffield living just 10 minutes walk from open countryside. Some stats... we have over 2 million trees, more per person than any city in Europe.
One of the biggest student communities in the country. Having two unis, the 8th largest in the UK is one of them. 54,000 students a year come to us.
The Tramlines festival (totally free)
We have the Crucible and Lyceum theatres. The Crucible is where the world snooker championships are held every year.
Sheffield has also been famous around the world for our Steel. Also, The Full Monty was filmed here.
Plus we are the only city in the UK with a national park in our borders. (Peak District)
That's about it really, we did have some awesome cooling towers but come prick at N-Power decided to have them knocked down.
