She's fucked. Admittedly, the kid won't be telling her parents because, well, she had a seizure, she wasn't exactly aware of what was going on. Unless of course she was still being yelled at as she came out of it. Besides which, I imagine she was informed as to why she was on the floor, with everyone looking concerned and the teacher ranting. Basically, the girl's parents will find out, and they will sue either the teacher or the school for a lot of fucking money.

Well, having a seizure is kind of disruptive, if you think about it.
It depends on the person, my favorite one was the rock back and forth in your chair. It is safer than the fall on the floor and less painful too.

Teacher should have been told about the medical condition, also depending on the person waking up can leave you with an emotion or fuzzy. If she said that to me after I woke up I would have punched her or verbally laid into her, (once I got my head outta the fog it would be in).

I go:
Fog
Anger/pain
Sleep

Let her enjoy the heat.

Sounds like another person who didn't want to be a teacher made it into the class room. Reminds me of the time I got detention for doing my work in class.

And the "World's Worst Teacher" award goes to...!

Seriously, though, she'd have to be pretty stupid to not know what a seizure looked like, much less to scream at the girl as if she had control. Something like that can't really be done voluntarily or willingly.

Hope the girl's okay.

From my experiences anyway.
OT: She is screwed legally. Parents will definitely press charges of some kind.
In my experience it's usually religion written in 80-foot letters towering above everything else (But that's mostly because quite and respectful young boys turn into uncontrollable little bastards in the class).

OP: She's going to get sued, fired or both.

Well... You know... It could just be... She might just... She's probably an outstanding person... Just having a bad day... Had to get mad at someone... Maybe there's a reason why she overreacted to someone having a medical fit they can't control...

Who am I kidding. This.

When a girl had a seizure in my class, it involved her head jackhammering the desk and the whole desk flipping clean over after a few seconds.

If that's the kind of seizure we're talking about, I desperately hope that teacher gets blacklisted.

Better then smashing your head on the desk ten times in six seconds. Happened to a girl in my class. Poor girl.

At least MY teacher stopped the class and carried her downstairs to the ambulance.

I have a feeling said teacher is going to be getting a rather severe reprimand soon. That's rather discriminatory, to say the least.

Fuck I hate waking up to an ambulance, my head is already pounding and noise and lights cause massive pain. But yeah nice to see a teacher you kept their head and took care of the situation.

She'll get repremanded quite harshly if the parents of the child do anything about it.
I think she's in the wrong though (the teacher that is)

You Guys are either are from somewhere outside of the USA or just poorly informed, but nothing ever happens to teachers when it comes to dealing with students. Hell, I remember hearing an NPR report about teachers who have been legally deemed guilty by the court of law for sexually harassing students, and the teachers punishment is this paid probationary period where the teacher sits in a "rubber room" and files papers all day while getting paid.

Also, why is it always the English teachers who are the bitches?
Because they are old skanks whose husbands are either dead or dont love them, and they think the world has to stop for them because of that.
