i hope that teacher gets fired, and can't get another job, and is disowned by their family, becomes poor, and lives the rest of their life on the street... i'm gonna stop here before it gets too bad. i had a teacher like that in my school, taught religion of all things, he literally threw books at people's face (and hit) if he didn't like you, got pissed at you for stupid things like you have mentioned, etc. every student who so much as knew his name banned together to get him fired, he was gone for like 1 year with pay, CAME BACK and did the same thing (union's fault). our principal or vice principal came in the day before and told those who would have him that they were trying to get him out of the school and everyone in the class should keep detailed accounts of every bad thing the teacher did (we got him), sounds like you might have a similar situation.

Something tells me the story isn't as cut and dried as that.
Actually there are many incidents where teachers have shown incompitense that is borderline retarded. On a school my mom worked on a student with dissabileties got in trouble when someone was picking on her for her dissabileties. When she retalieted they where sent to their teacher. The problem was that this student had severe problems in communication, something the teacher didn't seem to get. When a socialworker signed to this student found out it was the worst (and most deserved) media outbreak. I don't know what happened to the teacher, but it wouldn't suprise me if someone lost their job due to the incident.

Wow. That's as bad as a teacher telling the principle about 9/11 taking students' minds off their studies.

OT: That teacher should be fired for not being responsible and trying to help the student. Faking or not, help him first, ask questions later.
It's better then what my elementary school did when 9/11 happened, they basically made it sound like most of New York was on fire and Washington was being invaded. My teacher said she thought it was the beginning of a Chinese invasion. Yeah, not the thing to tell eleven-year-olds, most of the class was terrified for the rest of the day.

From my experiences anyway.
OT: She is screwed legally. Parents will definitely press charges of some kind.
Huh, I always would have thought that the science teachers were crazier because it's SCIENCE! MUHAHAHAHA!

Aw, it's a shame to hear of a person stupidly ruining their career.
Because she did. Don't worry about your young friend (Well, I mean, do, because she had a seizure, but don't worry about the karmic retribution in store for the teacher), because that teacher is a teacher no more.

She should be FIRED!!! Out of a cannon... Into the SUN!
Futurama, first episode. Nice reference there.

OT: She's going to be waist high in shit from parents for that one. But I don't think she'll get fired. Suspended, maybe, but not fired.

What's the rationality? What train of thought could possibly lead to "They could've been severely injured, but god help you if you get almost severely injured in the middle of my class"?

Soon as the kid's mother...and the kid's mother's lawyer...find out, that will be one less teacher on the faculty at that school.

Disgusting. I hope the teacher gets sued for everything she owns.

Also, why is it always the English teachers who are the bitches? I've been out of high school 15 years now and I still remember two of them---the two teachers who beat the love of writing and literature out of me, something I didn't get back for years. I still whisper a "fuck you, Miss Lind" under my breath when I get praised for my creative writing works even today. It's like a mantra.
Ohh I know how you feel, the shrill voice of the devil spawn that was my freshman English teacher haunts me to this day. Though was quickly replaced by a high pitched squawky math teacher my Freshman year of college... At 8-9 o'clock in the morning... It was eeeeevil!

I can only hope bad things come to this idiot teacher, some take their role of a mentor way to seriously to the point where they try to control every little fucking thing around them... Disgusting.

Some one incorrectly spelling a word does not compare to a teacher trying to write out a detention slip for some one who had a seizure... Welcome to the Escapist, if you haven't noticed already, this is not youtube.

I'm not trying to say stupid things never happen, but in this one instance, the way the OP was describing it seems pretty one-sided. No teacher in their right mind would behave like that, if not out of concern for the student, than out of the desire to maintain employment. There are a lot of variables that we can't really answer for in this case, since we weren't there.

I hate kids.
I don't like children either, but what this teacher did is inexcusable in my opinion, she should either be fired or suspended, get her away from kids. period. She doesn't belong around them, not even her own hell spawn.

Reminds me of my fatass Art teacher from junior high, she loved the color pink, so I drew her a picture of Kirby in an Easter theme for the holiday over the weekend and left it on her desk, I saw her pick it up, crumble it and toss it in the garbage, "because he looked like a pokemon" was her excuse. (My school hated pokemon or anything considered cute and for kids, me and my small group of friends were the only ones who actually still liked it so everybody made fun of us for that.) So I never did anything nice for her again, she would yell at kids and treat them like shit if they didn't do anything how she wanted. I despised her as much as my old P.E. teacher who came to work with hickies and lip-stick marks on his neck. Nice. So glad I'm out of that hell hole.

I hope one day to get rich, buy that school, then burn it down when everyone leaves overnight.

I've known some bad teachers in my day, but im pretty sure 90% of them would have gotten that girl to the nurse. That teacher definitely needs to take a step back and reflect on her action while she waiting in the unemployment line.
