I doubt I will either, but Central's a pretty damn big place.

I'm just making sure I've got a good idea of where my dad should drop me off; my parents are a bit skeptical (after all, this is the internet) so they want to park nearby so that my dad can meet you before he heads off.

It's good to know they care, I know they're just doing their job as parents.
I'm happy to talk to your parents if you want... or do you reckon travelling 1000k to come to this would be more offputting than settling?

I've got no idea, but I suppose it makes this get together a lot more legit. As I said, my Dad doesn't really want to speak to anyone or follow me around, he just wants to get a good idea of who I'm hanging around and where.

Just in case.

I could say something like 'I travelled 1000k for this, I wouldn't do that if these weren't good people who your son will be fine with'. Or whatever, I suppose your dad will meet all of us so we'll each have to impress him. Show him my profile pic, I look respectable in that!

I don't look like a stalker. In fact, if any of you ever saw me i don't think you would even be able to guess it was me.

Tip: It's the helmet, I look nothing like it... with it off.

Bumped for closeness.

There is actually a Pancakes on The Rocks in Darling Harbour, just underneath the Pyrmont Bridge. I'm a little geographically disoriented with that map, but if it's a short walk to the Darling, it's a short walk there as well.

If the Bowling/Laser Tag place is the one I'm thinking of, Pancakes is downstairs.

By the way, can you give a more exact description of where we'll meet up? Are we meeting the Eddy Avenue exit (the one I'm thinking of) or somewhere else?
Ahh, hokay.

We're meeting INSIDE the Central station building. Namely, there's a bunch of tables and chairs outside of the food places. They're hard to miss. We'll be there.

And Krunk feel free to point at me and say "All of this is her fault."

Nah, I'll be fine. And no pointing will be necessary.

I've already been called out as a hypocrite once today, and not undeservingly. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/362.77172.1799123]

(Yes my username has changed, this is what I normally use I just had registration troubles yesterday.)

That was fun, thanks for letting me tag along, hopefully I didn't disrupt your meet-up too much. I may have a closer look around these forums, I've read and lurked a bit in between reading the Escapist itself. I'm sure my left-wing libertarian atheist views and science obsession/pedantry will allow me to get into a few arguments/tell people they're wrong. Anyway thanks again for letting me join you guys (though I'm still wondering why we caught a train to Town Hall when the difference between Central and Town Hall to Darling Harbor is probably less than the distance to the trains from inside Central.)

I thought I wouldn't be surprised, but I was
Krunk's reaction was better.

It was a most excellent jape, and plenty of fun, despite my coming 3rd in EVERYTHING, which was just weird...
