It finally died.

After two years of service, Mr.Bananahat (Aka Xbox 360) died on me. I turned it on and the three red lights... It's burned into my mind. I know some people don't like that people make threads about their Xbox dying, but He must be remembered! Let's have one minute silence.

To add some discussion to the thread: What was the first thing you did when your Xbox died?

I had to figure out how to explain to Blockbuster that the two games I rented had a giant circular scratch on them, since the disk-slot was broken.

I called 1-800-4MY-XBOX and talked to them about getting it replaced. Then I sent it in. Then I played SNES and PC in the time that it was gone. No big deal.

.....I understand what you're going through....I felt the same when my PS2 died on me, just this incessant spinning sound and no picture on the screen, and it wouldn't read the disk...oh God, it's all coming back to me!

Two years!! You lucky son of a *****. Mine died on me after two months then when i got it back from repairs it died a month later. I can't feel sorry for you because I secretly envy you for having so much more time with your Xbox 360 than me. (especially when I got the black elite system that failed on me)

Back on topic, I checked the calendar to make sure it was still under warranty.

Told the parents I was buying a new one. But because I'd had it less than a year, Gamestation did a straight swap in store the next day! ;D Brand new model rocks, apparently they can't die. But I'm sure they said that about the other model I had.....

Mine went for two years as well. What was worst was that it was right at the beginning of Spring Break, so my thoughts of catching up on some of my games went down the drain.
