This is so going to be dealt with through European Law. Those racists who thought this up will not enjoy these laws for long I'm afraid.

If anyone still had any doubts whether Berlusconi truly is an idiot...
Berlusconi is a genius and a political visionary. Who else would have the pure, bare-faced balls to do all the brazenly stupid shit he's done in the middle of an economic recession? A fucking hardarse, that's who. I have literally no clue how the man got into government, but he's sure having a damn good time with it.
Conservatives admire his lifestyle as well and actually admire him for organising parties all the time. People call him "the chevalier" apparantly. He is the chairman of one of the biggest football clubs there, defender of the faith and friend of Rome. Enlightened people (mostly people in the North) tend to shun him.
Actually, he just happens to own 90% of the Italian media.
No, he does not. Is it a compulsion to just spit out completely false informations?
I'm so sorry! You are obviously so much smarter and better than me.
He owns 25% and has a strong control over 65% of the Italian media. Better?

Umm... This has very little to do with the topic but the idea that pasta is from China is a myth. It is one of those things everyone thought up on there own, like pyramids or dragons. The whole Marco Polo story is marketing from some of the first Italian Americans trying to sell pasta in the United States.

"You got the stuff man?"

"Yeah, I got the stuff."

*pulls out a bag of kebabs*

I don't know you so I can't offer any insight regarding the magnitude of the difference between our mental capabilities. It's also off-topic. I think it might have more to do with the fact that I am Italian however.

I don't know about %. He is the "owner" of Mediaset which offers a number of both free and pay per view channels on the new Italian digital platform for TV broadcastings. His daughter is CEO of Mondadori which owns a newspaper, "Il Giornale", and a weekly magazine, "Panorama". He has partecipations in a couple of other newspapers, "Il Foglio" and "Libero". Pretty much this is it.
The public owned TV firm, RAI, is heavily influenced by politics and government, since the nominations of CEO and other chiefs are made by the Parliament. Thus RAI TV channels usually are favorable to each and every government ruling at the time of the nominations.
This is pretty much all he "owns" in terms of media that affect public opinion.

On the other hand, the majority of newspapers are from mildly against to openly hateful towards Berlusconi, and these are the newpapers who sell the vast majority of copies: just to name four of them, the "Corriere della Sera" (n.1 best selling newspaper in Italy), "Repubblica" (n.2 best selling newspaper in Italy), "Il Sole 24 Ore" (the official newspaper from Confindustria, the Italian rapresentative of the businessmen and corporations), "La Stampa" (edited by Italian largest conglomerate, FIAT).

As far as television goes I already talked about the company which is public owned (RAI TV) and its peculiar situation: let me just add that from its birth a whole channel, "Rai Tre", has been the TV stronghold of the Comunist party (PCI) first and its transformations later.
Other than that, "La 7" is a channel owned by Telecom Italia and is a very liberal-left oriented channel. The same can be said about the all-news channel owned by SKY, and in general the whole satellite/cable channels offered by News Corp. from Murdoch is strongly against Berlusconi.

Feel free to ask for more specifics.

Davide Boni, a councillor in Milan for the Northern League, which also opposes the building of mosques in Italian cities, said that kebab shop owners were prepared to work long hours, which was unfair competition.
What...? I mean... What?

You're joking right? "That guy's willing to work harder! That's not fair! Why should he be allowed to work more than me, and therefore have a better business than me! I demand that it's illegal for him to work so hard!"
Judging from our local kebab stores. They are open to 2-3 AM on weekdays. And in the weekend they just dont close at all. But its just unfair to ban kebabshops because they "work harder".

It's their own country, they can do what they want.

Random Thought: It seems the overly utilized idea of 'political correctness' has spawned a rash of nationalism across the world.
