What I'll be doing everyday after November 11th....Skyrim.
I didn't want to say it, but yeah, that. That's actually a great prospect, invite some people over, play Skyrim all day, and then a nice Christmas dinner. Looking forward to it already.

we (myself and my husband) have to take it in turns going to one family or the others, just for once we'd love to have a year by ourselves, so next year we're going away for christmas, some where warm (possibly with a beach and cocktails!)

The only things I'm dreading about this christmas is the freezing cold temperature, snow (especially when the heavy snow last year) and the talk I will get from my brother about me still being unemployed (seriously we haven't seen each other for a year and he want to bring that up?).

Wander the town looking somewhat like Desmond in Assassins Creed, all Modern-Assassin-ish, looking for new places to explore, help out, enjoy the moonlight, the winter air, all that jazz.
and hopefully find some peace. Christmas hasn't always been the most fun season, so I hope i'll find what I'm looking for...

Ooh! I love Christmas (though isn't it a bit early to be talking about it?)!

Generally, my family and I get up early to exchange gifts (one at a time, which is really annoying), then our friends and neighbors come over for a Christmas Day Party.

The only thing I don't look forward to is the extreme cold, and it's already snowed over here! (Seriously, I knew that they want to start earlier each year, but this is freaking ridiculous!)

All I want to do is just get drunk with my friends and laugh about the good times.

Both me and my girlfriend are Atheists, but we are celebrating it with her mom and sister, (her mom and dad split after 35 years of marriage 1 month after me and her moved in together) But her mom is christian, I think; she knows I'm an atheist, I'm vocal about it if asked, and she did, so, she knows, but she isn't really religous either, at all, she only holds a religion to have something to cling onto. And her sister has a bit of brain damage becuase of a lack of oxygen during birth, so I never got the feeling she asks any kind of questions about exsistance of god, or christmas.

tl:dr We are going to hold an atheist christmas, basically.

Possibly visiting a friend in "Jolly ole England" I've been meaning to see in person for some four years now. Depends upon the scheduling of my flight, really.

Probably having dinner at my grandma's house, possibly seeing a friend. I really prefer this time of year over any holiday in particular. For some reason, Christmas actually makes me kind of uncomfortable.

I really liked that OP. :)
I will be working Christmas Eve in a supermarket because I'm a student and I don't really have much choice. Christmas Day will be spent with the family having roast dinner, opening presents and watching Doctor Who. Fun fun fun!

Hopefully staying a home and becoming the emperor of the Sith, while all the feeble republic players are with their annoying families doing tedious festive activities and walking in the snow till their face turns white.

I'm in Afghanistan.
I don't know how cold it'll be on Christmas, but we'll probably have a grill day. My unit has become pretty well-known for our big grill days, and I'm guessing we'll have at least a couple dozen guests.
Other than that... I'll likely still be thoroughly engrossed in Skyrim and/or Skyward Sword.
OOH! Christmas movie marathon! And to hell with the Christmas theme, we'll watch whatever we wanna watch.

Crimbo? Oh, we'll be hosting this year, which means a lot of cigarette smoke in the house. Eugh. On the plus side, I love my maternal family. It might have a high ratio of booze hounds and they might poke at me seeing as the only one in the bunch with a Bachelor's degree - but I love 'em all the same. They're fun, funny, clever in their own ways and they've always been there for me. It'd be a shame if I didn't try to return the favor at least once a year, right?

On the minus side, this'll mark the first anniversary of my mother's brother's death. My uncle always said he wouldn't live past fifty and pretty much worked as hard as humanly possible to destroy himself. Guess what? His prediction came true. Died on Christmas Day, last year.

That's bound to give a bit of a grim overcast to the evening's proceedings, but I'll try and keep myself entertained with games and that weird mix of orange juice and Blue Lagoon the cousins whip up yearly. It looks and feels like something that's straight out of a Star Wars cantina's menu. Sarlacc gland extract, anyone? Freshly squeezed, too!

Not to put a downer on the Christmas celebrations but it's just another day for me.

The kids get presents and then it's business as usual.

I don't see family, we're not that close. Only time we see each other is at weddings and funerals.

So the kids will have their day, i'll cook up a roast and then sit infront of the TV.

It's never the same when you get older and have kids of your own. I get socks and, if i'm really lucky, a box of chocolates from the kids. I might get a DvD or something from my missus and thats it. It's all about the kids.

Well, I'll be flying back to Scotland to see my family and friends. It will have been just over 8 months since I moved away to start a new life in Germany, so suffice it to say that I'm looking forward to it. Our family get togethers are always good fun, and a lot of banter gets thrown around so yeah.. should be good!
