Avatar Special Edition.

Once again in 3D, Avatar is coming back to cinemas with all new unseen footage.
Now I enjoyed Avatar, but this actually shocked me. Seems like a special release DVD would do, but then again money is money.

I know there isn't a lot of information here but I just saw the ad on television and thought you guys would have some interesting opinions.

So, what are your thoughts?

My brother started swearing at the TV from that advert since he bought the blu ray special edition and this would require him to buy a new one once it comes out.

I think it's stupid. If they were going to have extra footage, couldn't they jsut have it in the original or on the DVD/Blu ray?

Hang on, back to the cinema? Straight to DVD, sure, but this seems a little cheap.

I think this is known as 'milking it'.

Aside from the special effects (which were amazing) it wasn't much special. I think it might lose a bit of impact after you've already seen it once.

That's just blatant money grabing.
Avatar was good but the best thing was spectical i doubt that extra scenes are gona effect that factor much.

Just seems like they want to maximise on Avatar's popularity to make more money. I probably won't see it, just because I never watch the special features on DVDs anyway, unless I'm bored out of my mind or I really like the film.

Avatar ended up being quite funny. It had huge success on the big screen, however as soon as it came to DVD, I barely heard ANYTHING about it. Once it loses its 3D touch, it's just a typical story set in a nice forest.

I've never seen a bigger cash cow then Avatar and I suppose neither did its producers. I don't see more money though. They've already made enough to give 1/2 the population of the United States a fully paid 4 college scholarship.

I have never seen anything more overrated then Avatar. I really dislike that movie.

A copy of Avatar is sitting on a shelf in the living room along with the rest of the DVDs.
I still haven't seen it.
Just didn't look interesting to me.

While I do facepalm with the best at the thought of having Avatar back in theaters, I do think that for those who wish to see some extra footage in 3D, DVDs or Blu-Ray won't suffice.

i thought "seriously? *facepalme " i love how in the Advert it says
'the greatest movie of all time!' despite the fact it only has 3 stars and is'nt very good.
