Ok,so I just watched like half of Adam Sessler's speech at Guildhall and it got me thinking. If he had this inspiring moment, did anybody else? You see I don't really remember what got me into gameing...as far as I can remember it was always just a way too keep down the stress, hell I even remember a mild case of OCD back then. But enough about that, the games that I remember earliest were Earthworm Jim,Sonic, and Mortal Kombat. An odd bunch but it was fun!And later I stayed with gameing even though my life had calmed down.Mostly because of the wish fulfillment that you just can't get with movies or music. The feeling of experiencing a new world made by the collective imaginations of the development team.It was always fun to see a new world made by these people, and the challenges that they put forth for you to overcome.Well I'm getting off topic and rambling,if you wanna see Adams speech click this link: http://g4tv.com/videos/45996/Sesslers-Soapbox-Adam-Addresses-SMU-Guildhall-Graduates/?quality=hd

Soo tell me what you guys think.

Lemmings was the first game I played. It was on my grandfather's computer. I was only 4 years old. I beat it.

Later on I started playing Pokemon Blue. That hooked me.

Halo: CE was my first game that I have owned for consoles and I new that PC gaming wasn't for me (although when Diablo 3 comes out in the next 1000 years I would probably play that alot) and I instantly loved it. Halo: CE has kept me entertained along with my friends up until Halo 2 came out then we played that along with games like Mech Assault, Kotor, etc. I think the reason I stayed was because since I started on the xbox, it was easy for me to love the fact I can game with my friends, even online, with easy accessibility. I wouldn't have enjoyed myself gaming if I couldn't hang out with my friends.

When I was about 11, I used to go to a public library all the time. One day, they put in an X-box. The only game was The Hobbit (Which I still maintain is hugely underrated.) I was transfixed. I remember the satisfaction of killing an entire nest of gargantuan spiders. I loved it so much, I used to wag school to go play it. I asked my dad if I could get a console for my birthday, he said yes, but only if it's a PS2 (Which thankfully The Hobbit was on.) and only if it's second hand. Then my aunt bought me Ratchet and Clank 3 for my birthday, and the rest is history.

From what little I can remember, it's what all my friends were getting into. I remember being about 5 and my best friend at the time was talking about wanting to get "video games" and thinking how cool that sounded. I don't think I had any genuine idea what video games where at the time, but I knew what games where and ones on video would have to be cool. Then that same friend got a ColecoVision for his birthday and we played it all the time, until my family got a NES that Christmas. The rest, as they say is history. I've been gaming since at least the days of my friend's ColecoVision, possibly earlier.

My dad got a computer. I got a hold of it. I started messing with it. My dad put some games on it to distract me and prevent me from breaking anything. The rest was history...

I started on a tabletop Frogger, because the cabinet for Space Invaders was too tall for me. I much prefered Space Invaders.

My first console was a nintendo 64, with the games mario kart, super mario 64, Loz OoT, super smash bros and pokemon stadium. This got me hooked to games for live. I have yet to find a medium that is as much fun as gaming.

Well...(completely true fact) I was able to bea-DOMINATE my 12 year old brother (he being a gamer growing up on sonic and such) at Goldeneye when I was only 3. I also was able to get the 120 stars in Super Mario 64 before he could.

My first games were Super Mario 64, a Starwars Episode 1 pod racing game, and Pokemon Snap for the Nintendo 64. Later we got a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Yellow, and from there my life as a gamer began.

I don't remember what game specifically, but I can tell you it was the PlayStation that showed me the door to gaming. I believe the little known game was Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.

Why'd I stay? Dunno really. I guess that I didn't really interact with people when I was a child and sometimes was sick.
