Less of a downer than you might think, as thats pretty much my life right now- just sub in SC2 and the depression fouling up my job prospects.
Nice to hear that it worked out, you may of just made my night.
I've heard the whole thing before from buddies who brought themselves back from alcoholism; you've got to want the change yourself, no one can make the choice for you, so on and so forth. But it really is true. Balance in all things, and you'll find you can still enjoy without going overboard.

Good luck in your struggles, chummer.

To say you are not a student, is to say you have nothing to learn, but there is always something you do not know...

Got shitfaced. It's pretty much the law to do that on leavers day. Although I suppose since I went back for Sixth Form it wasn't really the end of much, but when you're riding in a limo with 11 other people in awesome suits whilst drunkenly singing along to 'Don't Stop Me Know' you don't dwell on that kind of thinking too much.

Well, I had a fairly lucky situation. When I ended my high school I almost immediately started my college career because of scholarships, so I got community college for free (and am still in it), and my mum owns her own business so Ive been working with her now for a few years and probably will for a couple more.

I finished Secondary School at the start of June and since then its just been waiting for my results to decide what I do next. There's 3 Options for me currently, of which depends on these results. As for the summer, I've been poor for all of it so far and will be for the rest. I've just been getting money of my Mum when i need it so i haven't done much.

If I get a B at Higher Maths then I get into Glasgow Caledonian University and then I'll study Computer Information Systems for 4 years but have the option after the first year to switch to Computer Game Development or Computer web Development. I plan on switching but don't know which course to switch to. Also after my Third year I get an option year of work placement which I plan on taking to get some experience on my belt. If this happens i also plan on moving out of my mothers (I'm only 18 atm) after my first year of uni and hopefully get student accommodation, if not I'm gonna try looking for a cheap flat.

If I fail to achieve a B at Higher Maths, if I get a C at Higher Maths or a D at Advanced Higher Computing then I get into University of the West of Scotland to study Computer Games Development. Unfortunately this doesn't have the option to change course after the first year and i don't thing it has the 1 year work placement like above.

If i don't get any of these I've got look for a job pretty much. And that's gonna be a struggle since there isn't many jobs going and i have no experience.

Well if you must know... I graduated from college last year. I spent about 3 months doing pretty much nothing but looking for work while playing video games all day. Was a good time. Coming up on 1 year at my job and... I've been looking for new/better work for a little while now (but don't tell anyone that)

After I finished training in an Automotive-based tech-school, I immediately got put on with a car dealership chain working as a Technician.

Feels good, man.
