It's Minecraft, but done much, much worse, I'm afraid. The only possible redeeming factor is that it may be free, but the original Minecraft is free and appears to be better than this!
It's just another Minecraft clone.

Let me tell you what, Minecraft, as good as it is, is in its building engine a major ripoff of Sauerbraten's cube barebones concept of free creation, plus a random world generation and some interesting rule sets. Nothing wrong with that, but you guys are acting like a bunch of priests demanding chastity at a whore house.

Seriously, where is the originality? Sauerbraten did it for cubes and creation, and Dwarf Fortress did it for everything else. Doesn't mean Minecraft isn't an excellent game though, just that some sector of it's fanbase tend towards needless defensiveness and hypocrisy. There is no argument to be had.
EDIT: Forgot to say that Sauerbraten is in itself a derivative of Cube. Look it up.

Can't copyright gameplay. It's sad, but it's entirely legal to take any game, entirely reskin the characters and any other copyrightable things(like the mushrooms or fire flowers in Mario), replace the cutscenes and rerelease it as your own game with no further modifications.The Rockerfly said:
