Just Cause 2. I shall spread my love of this game far and wide. It has no story aside from a pathetically constructed excuse to blow things up. Maybe that's why I love it so much.

Majora's Mask. I mean, it copy-pasted almost everything from Ocarina of Time, and was crippled with time restraints (Miyomoto wanted it out before the Gamecube), but it's still my favourite Zelda game. Hell, it's my favourite game in the world ever.
What? Don't be silly. I think everyone agrees that Majora's Mask was a game of superior quality. Most people just have such fond memories of OoT that they get lost in the nostalgia. Just look at the original post on this thread. MM is to OoT what ME2 is to ME.

Mortal Kombat is my favourite fighting game.

Most people consider it inferior to Street fighter, but I just find it more enjoyable to play, and the tonnes of content stops me from getting bored.

Dresden Files book series has plenty of flaws but its still one of the best of the bunch.
Borderlands is one of my fave games and its chock full of issues not least of which is that it chugs on my system that should be able to handle it easily unless I run it at 800x600 and with minimum settings.
Out of curiosity, what flaws does the Dresden Files series have? It's one of my favorites as well, but nothing particularly jumps out at me as being a flaw.

More on topic, one of my favorite video game series is Resident Evil. I love it, including the ridiculous plot (in fact, partially because the ridiculous plot), and even love the recent installments that other fans seem to have such hatred for.

Really? Hm. I knew that hardcore Zelda fans thought Majora's Mask was better-- used to spend some time lurking on Zelda Universe-- but I kinda thought it was a cult classic. I'm thrilled to hear that everyone else appreciates it as I do. Better odds they'll remake it for the 3DS.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it "my favourite", but Mirror's Edge.

Story and characters are bollocks and I have no idea what some of the level designers were thinking, but I've played it through like six times. Tearing down corridors and vaulting obstacles in desperate search of an exit while squads of heavily armed 'blues' send bullets flying past my head is an experience that no other game has managed to offer me.

My favourite video game movie is the Mario Bros movie. 100% srs, it's terrible but I love it.
You're not alone. When I was a kid I didn't even realize I was supposed to hate it. Now, whenever I visit my old roommate we always look for an excuse to sit down and watch it.

I loved the game Robot Alchemic Drive (I mean, c'mon... the initials are RAD! What else do you want?). If anyone has heard of it, it's probably because of the legendarily-bad voice acting, but it still remains the best simulation of piloting a giant, clunky robot around, weak story, crappy camera, cheap enemies, and really, truly awful dialogue notwithstanding (I know I mentioned that already, but it's worth mentioning twice, believe me.)

I choose that one JUST over the Way of the Samurai series, because at least those are playable and have a pretty good fanbase. I've never met anyone that liked RAD.

Jurassic Park.

That film is filled to the brim with so many palaeontological innacuracies, false scientific facts and random aspects and abilities randomly thrown onto the dinosaurs.

Of course that doesn't stop it from being my all time favourite film.

to be fair I think its fully excusable in the name of good entertainment, PLUS isnt it actually pretty scientific for such a film? its not like somthing that would have even a casual veiewer going "yeah...thats bullshit"

anyway I know Inglorious Basterds isnt considered tarantinos best film...but it is by far my favorite

game: black & white (I just love it, even if it didnt deliver on what it was supposed to promise), with heroes 3 taken out of the question since I just cant find any flaws in it... I need to find that CD...
I know of a flaw with Heroes 3! The sprite for the upgraded Pyre structure in the Conflux castle is misshapen. Also, you -could- make a really good argument for some castle types being statistically inferior to others. Like, say, the Fortress type.
Still one of my favourite games ever though.
lies! all lies! it's perfect in every way!

and I just cant say with a straight face that the conflux feel like part of the game for me...
as far as I care, the original heroes 3, expansion-less, is the way it's supposed to be! (and I always took the fortress to be the second worst in the game, really)
I dun goofed! Meant to say 'inferior'. A correction has been made! Also, out of curiosity, which city do you think is worse? Is it Inferno?

Oh, I agree, like I said it is my favourite film, so I obviously enjoy the hell out of it (and I like it for other, more personal reasons). It's just that some people may be turned off by the large amount of "fiction" in the "science-fiction" aspect.

Also, I too, greatly enjoyed Inglourious Basterds :)

Ren & Stimpy is my favourite comedy series, and of everything I like, it seems to be the one that people agree with least. It's weird too, because a lot of my humour is based on it, and makes the same people laugh who say they don't like R&S.

Cycling on the road is my favourite passtime, and I have plenty of injuries to show for it.

My motorbike is a Honda CT110 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CT110 ), what in Australia is called a postie bike. It's a silly little thing and I like it, people gawp at me when I say I go for 400km rides on it.

Same as the Ren & Stimpy thing, Mirror's Edge is one of my favourite games of all time, and I just never had any of the hangups everyone else seems to make a point of mentioning, as a big asterisk over it.

for some reason, I always felt that the stronghold was the worst...
I mean, I love some of the units there (especially the wolf raiders), but the overall strength of it always always felt lacking...

well I supose that depends on how hard you like your sci fi, I think jurassic park strikes a nice balance (lets be honest, those who really annoyed by the inacuracies enough to ruin the film are probably in the minority)

when compared to say somthing like "the core" or what ever..I forgot what it was called (they drill into earths core) or twister....the causal veiwer knows it bullshit

Butbutbut, Stronghold is one of the best cities! And Wolf Raiders are their second-worst units against CPU opponents! Am confuse. :(
You get one of the best heroes in the game (Crag Hack), and if you're lucky, you can build the truly monstrous Behemoths on the second day. Stronghold are awesome!

Duke Nukem Forever. Shall I even bother listing the flaws? I'm sure we all heard about them over a thousand times. Despite all the flaws, I had a blast with that game. Beat it on every difficulty, got all the achievements whatever. Even though it's definately not the best, it sure is my favorite.

It's a very odd sci-fi comedy filled with corny sex jokes and surreal settings, taking place on a living dragonfly spaceship with the power to destroy planets. Many episodes revolve around the protagonists attempts to get laid, which often ends with them stumbling unto insane villains trying to kill them, and then the captain blows up their planet because he's a prick. It's sometimes stupid, sometimes lame, but it's got such a weird atmosphere, it doesn't feels like any other sci-fi show out there. If you just sit back and roll with the sillier moments, it's really fun. My favorite is the second season, where the crew unleashes a mad scientist made of replicating robots that devour the entire universe, a problem which they pretty much ignore until they are the only thing left.
